Following two successful productions at Flat Rock Playhouse and Goodspeed Musicals, the producers of Chasing Rainbows: The Road to Oz have announced three private industry lab performances on Thursday, July 13 and Friday, July 14 in New York City.

The Globe wants to make theatre matter to more people! The Old Globe's Arts Engagement department invites friends, flappers, jitterbugs, and all of San Diego to our latest free AXIS event, Swing Out at the Globe, on Saturday, July 22 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., on the Globe's Copley Plaza, part of the Conrad Prebys Theatre Center in Balboa Park, preceding the 2:00 p.m. matinee of Guys and Dolls.

Fresh off a cross-country tour, John Strand's critically-acclaimed political drama The Originalist, based on the late Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, returns to Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater under the direction of Artistic Director Molly Smith.

The Old Globe presents an exciting Globe-commissioned world premiere comedy, Ken Ludwig's Robin Hood! It will play July 22 - August 27, 2017, with opening night on July 30, in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. BroadwayWorld has a sneak peek at the company below!

This swashbuckling romp abounds with comedy, danger, and romance. Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival's production of Ken Ludwig's The Three Musketeers previews July 12 and 13, opens July 14, and continues through August 6 in repertory with Shakespeare's As You Like It at the Labuda Center for the Performing Arts on the campus of DeSales University.

A friendly reminder! The Public Theater will begin previews for the second Free Shakespeare in the Park production of the season, A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, on Tuesday, July 11. Directed by Obie Award winner and The Public's Founder of Public Works and Resident Director Lear deBessonet, and choreography by Chase Brock, the show will run through Sunday, August 13 and officially open on Monday, July 31.

Simon Godwin's (Associate Director, London's National Theatre) acclaimed staging of Measure for Measure, William Shakespeare's dark comedy about justice, faith, power, sex and family, will close as scheduled next week, on July 16. Just 15 New York performances remain of the production.

Tantrum Theater continues its second season with the moving Tony Award-nominated musical, 'Caroline, or Change,' running July 5-July 22.

On Today, July 1, from 7 pm to 10:30 pm, Brookfield Theatre presents Christmas in July: Battle of the Christmas Musicals. This festive event treats audiences to 45-minute previews of 3 brand new holiday-themed musicals. At the end of the evening, audiences vote for their favorite and the winning show will be performed as a full-length staged reading in December. Come meet the writers, enjoy the shows, and vote for your favorite musical!
