Musical Theatre West announces that it will close its 59th consecutive season with the Tony Award-winning Best Musical, MONTY PYTHON'S SPAMALOT. Intiman Theatre's Board of Trustees has named Keri Kellerman as managing director. Kellerman's appointment was confirmed by unanimous vote at a special session of the Board of Trustees, held last Friday.
According to his official website, Jim Steinman is busy working on lyrics for a new musical version of The Nutcracker. Titled Nutcracked, the musical will feature the classic music by Tchaikovsky with arrangements by Steven Margoshes. The show will include a book penned by Terry Jones.
