A special limited-engagement run of BUZZ...Son of a Bee, a new musical comedy spotlighting the actor's life is set to open March 24th at The Sargent Theatre.

Due to overwhelming demand, La Jolla Playhouse is adding a seventh week of performances for Disney's Freaky Friday.  The show will extend its run through March 19. 

Storyteller Courtney Antonioli presents '18 days. 48 girls.' featuring an hour of comedic, true stories from her time running an all-girls summer camp for five performances during the 2017 FRIGID Festival.

Maverick artist, composer, vocalist and instrumentalist Laurie Anderson and bass virtuosoChristian McBride collaborate for the first time in the opening concert of Town Hall's new series, Improvisations. The show will also feature special guest Rubin Khodeli on cello.

La Jolla Playhouse presents Freaky Friday, book by Bridget Carpenter (TV's 'Friday Night Lights,' 'Parenthood'), music and lyrics by the Tony Award- and Pulitzer Prize-winning team of Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey (Next to Normal, If/Then), based on the novel 'Freaky Friday' by Mary Rodgers and the Walt Disney motion pictures, to be directed by Playhouse Artistic Director Christopher Ashley, running tonight, January 31 , through March 12, 2017 in the Mandell Weiss Theatre.

To take the sting out of this morning's news from Punxsutawney PA predicting six more weeks of winter, the producers of the eagerly anticipated Broadway musical comedy Groundhog Day announce a national sweepstakes to give away the first preview performance at the August Wilson Theatre (245 West 52nd Street) on Thursday, March 16. Opening night is April 17.

The nightclub singer Marta Sanders follows her memorable Cabaret Convention appearance (she closed the Stephen Sondheim tribute with a soul-bearing 'I'm Still Here') with an encore of her latest show, 'Follow Me,' in February. The four-week major engagement performs at The Laurie Beechman Theatre, 407 West 42nd Street, today February 2; Saturday February 11; Today February 16, and Saturday February 25, all at 7pm.

As previously announced, MasterVoices (formerly The Collegiate Chorale), closes its 75th anniversary season with Victor Herbert's Babes in Toyland on April 27, 2017 at 7pm at Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall (57th Street and 7th Avenue, New York, NY 10019).
