It was announced today that Catherine Walker will take over the role of 'Phoebe D'Ysquith' in A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder, which won the 2014 Tony Award for Best Musical, beginning Tuesday, October 28.

TOP HAT, winner of three Olivier Awards, for 'Best New Musical', 'Best Choreography', 'Best Costume Design' from its seven nominations and winner of the Evening Standard Award for 'Best Night Out', embarks on a 47-week UK tour, visiting Wolverhampton Grand Theatre from Tue 21 Oct - Sat 1 Nov 2014.

It was announced today that Tony Award-winner Carole Shelley will join the cast of A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder, which won the 2014 Tony Award for Best Musical. She will be stepping into the role of Miss Shingle on October 28th. Jane Carr, who originated the role, will play her final performance on October 26th.

Top Hat, winner of three Olivier Awards, for 'Best New Musical', 'Best Choreography', 'Best Costume Design' from its seven nominations, and winner of the Evening Standard Award for 'Best Night Out', returns to London to open its new tour at New Wimbledon Theatre on Tuesday 12 August where it will run for two weeks until Saturday 23 August. The production then embarks on a major 47-week tour visiting theatres throughout the UK and in Ireland, until 25 July 2015.

On Tuesday, June 3, 2014 City Parks Foundation (CPF) held the City Parks Foundation Gala presented at SummerStage in Central Park, an annual fundraising event that supports CPF's free year-round arts, sports, education and community-building programs. Opening at New Wimbledon Theatre on Tuesday 12 August 2014 the production will tour until Saturday 25 July 2015.

The Theatre Museum awarded its 2014 Theatre Museum Awards for Excellence at the Players Club, on Tuesday May 27, 2014. The mission of The Theatre Museum is to preserve, protect, and perpetuate the legacy of the theatre. It is the first and only chartered non profit museum dedicated to the history of Theatre. Since 1995 The Awards for Excellence have recognized individuals and organizations for their contribution to theater arts, education, theater history and preservation.

On Monday evening, BroadwayWorld.com was proud to watch its CEO and Founder, Robert Diamond, receive the 2014 Theatre Museum Award for Excellence in Arts Education. That same evening, Fathom Entertainment received an award for Excellence in Theatre History Preservation, which was presented to their new CEO, John Rubey.

Tony and Olivier Award winning producers, Stewart F. Lane and Bonnie Comley hosted a dinner in honor of the 2014-2015 Directors Project fellows on Tuesday, May 13th. The Directors Project fellows are in New York city for an intensive week-long orientation program which includes a series of events and opportunities to speak with theatre professionals. Broadway stars Billy Porter, Victoria Clark, Terrence Mann, Andrea Martin and Shuler Hensley served as gala award presenters at the 64th Annual Outer Critics Circle Awards ceremony last night at the legendary Sardis Restaurant. In addition to being acclaimed stage performers, the stars are also former recipients of the esteemed Outer Critics Circle Award. The 80th Annual Drama League Awards Ceremony and Luncheon is being held this afternoon, May 16, at the Marriott Marquis Times Square, where winners will be announced for Distinguished Production of a Play, Distinguished Production of a Musical, Distinguished Revival of a Play, Distinguished Revival of a Musical, and the much coveted Distinguished Performance Award. Co-Hosts Judith Light and Christopher Sieber announced the nominations for the 2014 Drama League Awards, including Distinguished Production of a Play, Distinguished Production of a Musical, Distinguished Revival of a Play, Distinguished Revival of a Musical, and the much coveted Distinguished Performance Award. The 2014 Drama League Nomination announcement begins the month of celebrations leading up to the 80th Annual Drama League Awards, which will be held at the Marriott Marquis Times Square (1535 Broadway) on Friday, May 16, 2014 at noon hosted by Broadway veteran Jesse Tyler Ferguson.

Bay Street Theatre has announced Curtain Up!, Bay Street's 3rd Annual Spring Benefit honoring Bonnie Comley and Stewart Lane, and Pia and Jimmy Zankel at Joe's Pub in New York City on May 12. The theater's third honors event will be hosted by Bay Street's new Artistic Director, Scott Schwartz, a leading voice of the next generation of American theater and an internationally acclaimed artist whose work has been seen on and off Broadway, across the United States, in Great Britain, and Asia.

At a press conference earlier today, the cast of A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder announced that the production just reached the landmark 1,000th death of its leading man. Jefferson Mays, playing eight members of the D'Ysquith clan, is knocked off eight times in each performance, or sixty-four times each week. Mr. Mays has reached 1,000 stage deaths faster than any lead actor in Broadway history. At the press conference, Mr. Mays' co-star, Bryce Pinkham, presented Mr. Mays with an honorary 'death certificate' on behalf of the entire cast.

Ghostlight Records has announced the release of the original Broadway cast recording of A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder, the new musical currently running at the Walter Kerr Theatre. The album - produced by Joel Moss and Kurt Deutsch, with Joey Parnes serving as Executive Producer - will be released by digital outlets on February 25 with the disc available in stores and online April 1. The physical CD features a 40-page booklet with complete lyrics, color photos, a synopsis by librettist Robert L. Freedman and an essay by renowned theater writer and critic David Cote.
