On November 11, 2016 at 8:00PM, The New York Pops, led by Music Director and Conductor Steven Reineke, will continue its 34th season at Carnegie Hall's Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage with Concert for Courage, a program that will commemorate Veterans Day by honoring the brave men and women of the nation's armed forces. The orchestra will be joined by The Soldiers' Chorus of The U.S. Army Field Band in performances of patriotic songs and classic Americana for a jubilant celebration of those who are serving and have served the United States of America. Broadwayworld was there for this afternoon's open working rehearsal.

Guest artists Colin Donnell and Laura Osnes of Broadway fame alongside operatic baritone Nathan Gunn will bring these legendary show tunes to life with the full 78-piece New York Pops. The orchestra and soloists will be joined by Judith Clurman's Essential Voices USA.

The New York Pops started it's 34th season off with a glorious concert celebrating the legacy and timeless works of Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe. In the closing concert of his inaugural season in 2010, music director and conductor Steven Reineke celebrated the music of Lerner and Loewe and the response was so heartwarming that he decided it was the right time to revisit the material.
