Seattle Men's Chorus & Seattle Women's Chorus Welcomes New Artistic Director

Flying House Productions (FHP) the parent organization for Seattle Men's Chorus and Seattle Women's Chorus, isthrilled to announce that Paul Caldwell will be named the new artistic director, effective August 1, 2016. The organization has flourished under the 35-year artistic leadership of Dennis Coleman, whose retirement was announced in February 2015. Immediately theFHP board of directors began an extensive nationwide search for Coleman's successor; work is currently underway with the Board of Directors, executive director Steven Smith, and Coleman for a smooth transition process. In the coming months Caldwell is expected to relocate from his Chicago-area home where he has worked as artistic director for the Youth Choral Theatre of Chicago, Windy City Gay Chorus, and Windy City Treble Quire.

DePue Brothers Band to Bring 'A Magical Grassical Christmas' to Sellersville Theater, Today

The highly respected and multi-talented DePue Brothers Band will brighten the Sellersville holiday stage with their show "A Magical Grassical Christmas" today December 11 at 8 p.m. The Philly-based band will incorporate many songs from their holiday-themed CD When It's Christmas Time, which combines their classical roots with blue grass, jazz, rock, fusion and more. Special to this concert is the guest appearance of up to 18 talented musicians from the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra (PYO) and the Youth Orchestra of Bucks County (YOBC).

Elijah Jamal Quintet Set for The Iridium, 9/4; Rain Pryor Moved to 10/10

Just announced! The NYC debut of ELIJAH JAMAL QUINTET and Guests performing on Friday, September 4!  The quintet is led by saxophonist and composer Elijah Jamal Balbed, a Washington DC native named 'Best Tenor Saxophonist' and 'Best New Jazz Musician' by the Washington City Paper. 

Guitarists Joe Satriani & Steve Vai Play Benefit Concert in Support of Cliff Cultreri Tonight

Legendary guitarists JOE SATRIANI and STEVE VAI are gearing up for their third benefit concert in support of music industry veteran and good friend, Cliff Cultreri, this coming weekend.  'A Benefit for Cliff III' will take place tonight, June 12th at 8pm at Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles.  This event will feature performances by Satriani and Vai, as well as special guests, Animals As Leaders.

The National GUITAR Museum announced that Buddy Guy, the pioneering electric blues guitarist who influenced a generation of rock guitarists, is the recipient of its 'Lifetime Achievement' Award for 2014. Buddy is the fifth recipient of the award, following David 'Honeyboy' Edwards in 2010, Roger McGuinn of The Byrds in 2011, B.B. King in 2012, and 'James Bond' guitarist Vic Flick in 2013.
