Casting has been announced for Bathsheba Doran's Parents' Evening, which receives its European premiere in a new production directed by Stella Powell Jones at Jermyn Street Theatre this October. Peter Hamilton Dyer (Mrs Orwell - Proud Haddock Southwark Playhouse, Twelfth Night - Shakespeare's Globe/Broadway, Midsummer Night's Dream - RSC) and Amy Marston (Broken Glass - Offie Nominated Best Actress - Watford Palace Theatre, A Small Family Business - National Theatre, Don John - Kneehigh) join forces in this searing and highly acclaimed two- hander.

Following his hugely successful and highly acclaimed first year as artistic director, Tom Littler is marking the start of his second year at the helm with a season of new work celebrating rebellious spirits. This includes the first UK production by award-winning British/American playwright Bathsheba Doran, the world premiere of a play about the maverick surrealist, Leonora Carrington, the revival of a modern Canadian classic and a rip-roaring, spine-chilling, body-snatching Christmas comedy.

Boo Killebrew recounts the catastrophic impact of Hurricane Katrina on her hometown in the autobiographical The Play About My Dad. Seen in Europe for the first time at Jermyn Street Theatre, the piece is a play within a play complete with flashbacks and time travel. Albeit self-indulgent at times, Killebrew manages to keep the narrative interesting and fresh but falls short acting-wise. Directed by Stella Powell-Jones, it's well-executed but feels like it's holding its breath.

As soon as their Reaction Season was announced in autumn 2017, Jermyn Street Theatre launched a competition to all identifying as female playwrights; submissions were open and 390 anonymous people sent in a five-page scene responding to Noel Coward's Still Life. The winners - Morna Young, Emma Harding, and Jenny Ayres - were then commissioned a one-act play engaging with Coward's Tonight at 8:30, which resulted in Tomorrow at Noon.

Jermyn Street Theatre has announced casting for Tomorrow at Noon, a programme of three new plays by Jenny Ayres, Emma Harding, and Morna Young, each of which reacts to one of Coward's Tonight at 8.30 plays, and responds to it in a contemporary voice.

Jermyn Street Theatre announces The Reaction Season, its third as a producing theatre. Running from 10 April to 18 August, The Reaction Season will feature 15 plays and musicals - 12 of them one-act - based around themes of reacting and re-enacting.

For our first autumn as a producing venue, Jermyn Street Theatre created an Escape Season. The plays circled around themes of escaping entrapment of different kinds. In spring 2018, we are presenting the Scandal Season. These productions are about people who break the rules, outraging their contemporaries and blazing their own trail.

The Warren Miller Performing Arts Center (Executive Director John Zirkle) in Big Sky, Montana announced today it will present the world premiere of LEVITY, featuring Tony Award winner Michele Pawk as Connie, for three performances January 19 through January 21, 2018. Written by Stephanie DiMaggio and directed by Stella Powell-Jones, this new play was developed during WMPAC's summer acting workshop and is the first world premiere production ever to premiere in Big Sky.

In a major shift of artistic policy, Tom Littler today announces the relaunch of Jermyn Street Theatre as a producing theatre as he reveals his first season as artistic director.

New York playwright Stephanie DiMaggio has written a play that wrestles with the impact of family secrets, and the fallout that ensues when fame and fortune don't necessarily bring happiness. Now, American Theater Group will present a reading of Levity at the South Orange Performing Arts Center Loft on June 25 at 7 p.m. Tony Award-winning actress Michelle Pawk, and Tony Award-nominated John Dossett, who is currently appearing on Broadway in War Paint, will take the leads in this riveting story. David Ross and playwright Stephanie DiMaggio will round out the cast. The reading gives professional actors a chance to bring life to the play as they read with script-in-hand, and gives audiences the opportunity to provide valuable feedback to the playwright as she continues to refine the work. Benjamin Endsley Klein will direct.

The festival is a vital part of the Huntington's new play development efforts and highlights the work of locally-based Huntington Playwriting Fellows and national writers in partnership with the Huntington. Over the last decade, Breaking Ground plays have gone on to appear at the Huntington as well as theatres in Boston, across the country, and internationally.

Nominees for the 2015 LA STAGE Alliance Ovation Awards were announced on Thursday, September 24 on @ This Stage Magazine [ThisStage.la]. This year's Ovation Awards ceremony will take place Monday, November 9 at the Ahmanson Theatre at The Music Center. The curtain will rise at7:30pm.
