This week we are taking a look at the trailer for the upcoming movie musical BURLESQUE starring Cher and Christina Aguilera, as well as checking out two of Christina Aguilera's solo songs from the soundtrack - one classic Etta James cover featured in a new clip just released from the film and an especially exciting, entirely new composition 'Spotlight' written exclusively for Christina for the film - in the backstage tuner that is currently set to be released nationwide on Thanksgiving. Though last Christmas brought the unfortunately unsuccessful $80-million-dollar NINE, perhaps this year's quotidian singular musical entertainment from Hollywood will fare far, far better - it certainly could not be much different in casting, content, style, tone or marketing from what we have seen so far and can see here! Ken Ludwig's LEND ME A TENOR's starring Anthony LaPaglia, Tony Shalhoub, Justin Bartha, Brooke Adams, Mary Catherine Garrison, Jennifer Laura Thompson, Jay Klaitz, and Jan Maxwell, directed by Stanley Tucci will play its final performance next Sunday, August 15, ending its acclaimed limited engagement at the Music Box Theatre (239 W. 45th Street) The production will have played 153 performances and 24 previews.

A world premiere, fully-staged production by John Patrick Shanley, the first professional production for playwright Tracy Thorne, and the newest musical project from the multi-award winning director Michael Mayer will be just a few of the many highlights of Vassar & New York Stage and Film's Powerhouse Theater season, June 25 - August 1, 2010.

ContactMusic.com has confirmed BroadwayWorld's previous speculation that Tina Fey and Oscar Winner Meryl Streep are set to star in a new film directed by Standley Tucci entitled 'Mommy And Me.' There is no word yet as to whether Tucci will also act in the film.
