Looks like Mel B. will be able to tell America what she 'really really wants!' According to CNN, the Spice Girls singer will be joining Howard Stern and Howie Mandel on the judge's panel for the next season of NBC's AMERICA'S GOT TALENT, filling the seat vacated by long-time judge Sharon Osbourne.

NBC announced today that versatile entertainer and former Spice Girl Melanie Brown (or 'Mel B') will join the network's top-rated summer series AMERICA'S GOT TALENT as a judge, and will take her place alongside fellow judges Howie Mandel and Howard Stern beginning this summer.

Michael Riedel reports that Simon Cowell is hard at work on THE X FACTOR MUSICAL, which just had an invitation only workshop in London last week, starring Alexander Hanson as the infamous reality show judge. The show, with a 16 million dollar budget is being co-produced by Cowell and Stage Entertainment, and features an original score by Steve Brown and a script by Harry Hill.

This Spring sees the return of the West End musical hit Drag Divas, direct from its previous run in 2012 at The Arts Theatre. This camp, colourful show heads its way back into the West End for a limited season. Viva Forever writer Jennifer Saunders tells BBC One's The Graham Norton Show about meeting the Spice Girls - before they were famous!

NBC's 'New Year's Eve With Carson Daly' will ring in 2013 with Grammy Award-winning group Train, performing 'Mermaid' and John Lennon's 'Imagine,' and, Cassadee Pope, the winner of NBC's 'The Voice,' as well as some of the best musical performances from 2012. The two-hour special will air live on Monday, December 31, beginning in primetime from 10-11 p.m. (ET), and continuing from 11:30 p.m.-12:30 a.m. (ET) with the first performances of the New Year. 'NBC's New Year's Eve with Carson Daly' will broadcast in high definition from the middle of the world's most famous New Year's Eve destination -- Times Square in New York City.

It must have seemed like a no-brainer. Take the back catalogue of one of the most successful and iconic pop groups of all time, get national semi-treasure Jennifer Saunders to write the script, and add Mamma Mia! producer Judy Craymer for good measure. A recipe for success, surely?
