Hordes of high school students are sure to get a thrill when a Broadway groom and a furry little teacher take the stage at the California Theatre this Monday. Happy Mahaney, starring as the hunky 'Sky' in MAMMA MIA! at Broadway San Jose, is joining forces with 'Kate Monster,' the plucky puppet heroine from AVENUE Q, to host San Jose Stage Company's 2011 Top Honor Awards, a celebration of excellence in high school musical theatre in the Bay Area.

Kravis Center for the Performing Arts is once again partnering with producer James Drayton to present the annual African-American Film Festival at 7 p.m. on three successive Tuesday evenings, March 29, April 5, 12. Acclaimed Bay Area actor Robert Brewer is donning fangs to step into the role of 'Bat Boy' in Foothill Music Theatre's production of BAT BOY, THE MUSICAL. Due to personal reasons, previously announced Andrew Ceglio has withdrawn from the production and award-winning director Jay Manley feels that Robert Brewer is the perfect replacement. No stranger to the role, Brewer played the role of 'Bat Boy' with Theatre Three in Dallas, Texas.

Starting February 3rd with a kick-off signing event at the Lincoln Center Barnes & Noble store, 'Liza's At The Palace....' will be available wherever fine music is sold, for the suggested retail list price of $19.98.

While the townspeople clamor for his destruction, Bat Boy, who is taken in by the veterinarian and his family, learns to read, speak, and even fall in love. A wickedly slick satire that spoofs convention, BAT BOY chronicles the struggles of a boy with fangs who just wants to be loved. The show premiered at Tim Robbins' Actors Gang Theatre on October 31, 1997, and has since been produced Off-Broadway, in London's West End, at the Edinburgh Festival and in scores of productions throughout the world.
