Lincoln Center Theater, under the direction of Andre Bishop, has announced that Evan Cabnet has been named the new Artistic Director of LCT3, effective July 1.

Virginia's Signature Theatre opens its' air-conditioned doors once again for the annual Sizzlin' Summer Nights Series. Two and a half weeks of live music and performances by Signature favorites, DC area stars, and some of New York's most exciting Broadway performers. The cabaret series runs July 5 through July 22, with a different performance every night.

The 7th Annual Lilly Awards Ceremony, which celebrates women of distinction in the American Theater, have added honorees to the special awards ceremony, including Tony Award-winner and 2016 Tony Award nominee Jessie Mueller, Kathy Najimy, Genne Murphy, Candis Jones, Rehana Lew Mirza, and the women of Waking the Feminists. They join previously announced honorees include Danai Gurira, Martha Plimpton, Kate Whoriskey, and Mia Katigbak. The Lilly Awards will be presented Monday, May 23, at the Signature Theatre (480 West 42nd St).

Feinstein's/54 Below, Broadway's Supper Club, presents Every Little Step star and multiple Helen Hayes Award winner Natascia Diaz in her New York City solo debut on Wednesday, June 15 at 7:00 pm, following her acclaimed and nominated performance as Anita in Signature Theatre's sold out run of West Side Story in Washington DC.

Signature Theatre presents the world premiere of DAPHNE'S DIVE, written by Pulitzer Prize winner Quiara Alegria Hudes (Water by the Spoonful, In the Heights) and directed by Thomas Kail (Hamilton, Fox's 'Grease: Live'). The production just opened in The Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues). Meg Fofonoff and Stacey Stephens, Producing Artistic Directors of Fiddlehead Theatre Company, announced today the cast of Show Boat, the company's first production in partnership with the Citi Performing Arts Center Shubert Theatre, 265 Tremont Street, Boston. Show Boat will run for twelve performances from June 22-July 3, 2016. Co-Directed by Fofonoff and Stephens, Show Boat will feature a cast of 50 starring seasoned international and off-Broadway performers including Kim Corbett (West Side Story, Les Miserables) as Magnolia Hawks, Jeremiah James (The Fantasticks) as Gaylord Ravenal, Lindsay Roberts (The Gershwins' Porgy And Bess) as Queenie, and Brian Kinnard (Buddy - The Buddy Holly Story) as Joe. Show Boat is Jerome Kern and Oscar Hammerstein II's epic of life on the Mississippi River with some of the most beautiful and influential music ever written for the stage including 'Ol'Man River,' 'Can't Help Lovin' Dat Man' and 'Bill.' Show Boat will be choreographed by Wendy Hall, with a 27-piece live orchestra under the direction of Charles Peltz.

The Old Globe presents the Arena Stage production of Pulitzer Prize winner Lawrence Wright's thrilling new play CAMP DAVID, directed by Arena Stage's artistic director, Molly Smith.

The Drama League today announced the new team to replace longtime artistic director Roger T. Danforth, who departs the storied company this summer. Travis LeMont Ballenger has been named to the newly created position of Associate Producer, and Sherri Eden Barber will assume the role of Program Director. Gabriel Stelian-Shanks will see his position expanded to the role of Executive Artistic Director

Theater J will bring playwright Anna Ziegler back to DC with the insightful, wry drama, Another Way Home, which plays June 23 through July 17, 2016. Another Way Home, directed by Shirley Serotsky, follows the Nadelman parents (Rick Foucheux and Naomi Jacobson) at summer camp visiting day which quickly turns into a family emergency. Their son Joey (Chris Stinson), is nowhere to be found and they are left wondering - where has he gone, why is their marriage lacking, and what might have happened if they had taken a different path.
