HIGHLIGHTS THIS WEEK: BC/EFA Flea Market, First Looks at WWRY, BEAUTIFUL, and A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE, and NO MAN'S LAND, WAITING FOR GODOT meets the press!

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, PRINCE OF BROADWAY, the new musical celebrating legendary Broadway director and producer Harold 'Hal' Prince has been postponed indefinitely due to scheduling conflicts. Now according to the New York Times, the musical is having trouble raising the funds to open on Broadway.

Harold Pinter's NO MAN'S LAND and Samuel Beckett's Waiting for Godot starring Ian McKellen,Patrick Stewart, Billy Crudup, and Shuler Hensley, with direction by Sean Mathias, will begin previews on Broadway at the Cort Theatre (138 West 48th Street) on Saturday, October 26 in advance of the official opening on Sunday, November 24, 2013. Even the threat of rain didn't stop the biggest day of the year for Broadway fans from turning into a bright and sunny day for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS as the 27th Annual Broadway Flea Market & Grand Auction raised an outstanding $631,222.

Starring in the Musical Salute are Kennedy Center Award Honoree/Tony Award winner Barbara Cook, four-time Tony Award winner Harvey Fierstein, Tony Award winner Lin-Manuel Miranda, record setting multi-Tony Award winnerHarold Prince, beloved TV and Stage Icon Charlotte Rae, multiple Academy, Grammy, Drama Desk Award winnerStephen Schwartz, Academy and Grammy Award winner David Shire and nine time Tony Award winner Tommy Tuneamong others, all performing songs with lyrics written by Mr. Harnick.

More than 50 beloved and rising stars of stage and screen--including 19 Tony Award winners--signed autographs on Sunday, September 22, at the 27th Annual Broadway Flea Market & Grand Auction (#bwayflea), presented by and benefiting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. The biggest day of the year for Broadway fans is only four days away as Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS sets the stage for the 27th AnnualBroadway Flea Market & Grand Auction (#bwayflea). The all-day, outdoor market features one-of-a-kind theatre treasures, once-in-a-lifetime onstage and backstage experiences and your favorite stars from Broadway's biggest shows.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, PRINCE OF BROADWAY, the new musical celebrating legendary Broadway director and producer Harold 'Hal' Prince has been postponed indefinitely due to scheduling conflicts. Now according to the New York Post, the musucal will debut in Osaka, Japan before moving to Broadway in Spring of 2016.

The American Theatre Wing (William Ivey Long, Chair; Heather Hitchens, Executive Director) announced today that its annual gala, held last night at the Plaza Hotel, was the most successful in the organization's history, raising nearly $700,000 (besting the previous record, which was set in 2012, by approximately $100,000). All proceeds from the evening will benefit the education and outreach programs of the American Theatre Wing, which include SpringboardNYC, the Theatre Intern Group, the National Theatre Company Grants and the Jonathan Larson Grants, and will also support free access for students, aspiring professionals, and the general public to programming on AmericanTheatreWing.org, including the long running television show "Working in the Theatre."

Two of the most iconic plays of the 20th Century, Harold Pinter's NO MAN'S LAND and Samuel Beckett's WAITING FOR GODOT will open on Broadway at the Cort Theatre, 138 West 48th Street, this fall. Paul Rudd's 2nd Annual All-Star Bowling Benefit is set for Monday, October 21st, 2013 with a 7pm Cocktail Reception, followed by bowling, billiards, an open bar, dinner, and a special performance at Lucky Strike Lanes, 624-660 W. 42nd St. & 12th Ave, NYC.
