PBS announced today its slate of Winter/Spring 2014 programs, including the long-awaited return of MASTERPIECE 'Sherlock, Season 3'

Circle in the Square Theatre School will present THREE LITTLE PIGS: A Musical, at Broadway's famed Circle in the Square Theatre (50th St., between Broadway and Eighth Avenue), at 10:30 a.m., October 28 - November 1.

RAYMOND WEIL will celebrate their partnership with the Labyrinth Theater Company with the sponsorship of their benefit gala at Capitale on October 28th. Four celebrity teams will participate in a hilarious speed charades competition to support the Labyrinth Theater Company's 2013/2014 season.

The Holmdel Theatre Company will present Circle Mirror Transformation by American playwright Annie Baker November 1 - 16, 2013 at the Duncan Smith Theater in Holmdel, NJ.

On Thursday, November 21 at 7:30pm, violinist and artistic director Gil Morgenstern will present the second concert of his acclaimed Reflections Series International 2013-2014 Season at Avenues: The World School (259 Tenth Ave.). The program is titled "Beauty Born of Terror" and will explore the endurance of hope and spirituality amid the cataclysmic horrors of the twentieth century through music, literature and projected imagery. Of the subject Morgenstern explains, "No one chooses the place, the time, or the circumstances of his or her birth; notes and words have even less choice. Yet one of the ironic facts of creative life is that inspiration often emerges from terror, fear and pain."

The New York Times has confirmed earlier reports that Hilary mantel's novels WOLF HALL and BRING UP THE BODIES are being adapted as a six-part television drama for PBS' 'Masterpiece' and will star Tony and Olivier-winner Mark Rylance as Thomas Cromwell.

On Tuesday, the David Lynch Foundation and the New York City Mayor's Office to Combat Domestic Violence announced a partnership to bring Transcendental Meditation to victims of domestic violence across New York City to help them heal from trauma and abuse. Commissioner Yolanda B. Jimenez of the Mayor's Office was honored at the event with the David Lynch Foundation's Lifetime of Service Award for her dedication to victims of domestic violence. The York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director; Andrew Levine, Executive Director) launches its 2013-14 season with a special concert presentation of the musical Six Wives, with Book and Lyrics by Joe Masteroff and Music by Edward Thomas. Directed by David Green, and with Music Direction by Dennis Buck, the five member cast will feature Nick Wyman and Claybourne Elder, with Judy Kaye and Alexander Silber as the six wives, and Alexander Gemignani playing Henry VIII.
