Pendelton and her friends from the performing arts, fashion and media joined forces to celebrate her company's work to bring diverse audiences to the arts, on Broadway and beyond. Actors Forum Theatre and Magic Tree Productions present Brandon Scott's Wizards and Fools: The Hallows' Fool Moon Magic Show produced by Audrey M. Singer and Brandon Scott.  The show is centered around a quirky family preparing for a Hallows' Eve and night of the Fools Moon, a very special night as it happens only once every 100 years.  

The Harold and Mimi Steinberg Charitable Trust today announced that playwrights Branden Jacobs-Jenkins and Dominique Morisseau will be honored at the 2015 Steinberg Playwright Awards on Monday, November 16, 2015. Scenes highlighting their work will be performed at the 8th Annual 'Mimi' Awards, which will take place at Lincoln Center Theater.

Lincoln Center Theater (under the direction of Producing Artistic Director Andre Bishop) has announced the upcoming productions of three new plays during its 2015 - 2016 season, BroadwayWorld has learned.

MasterVoices kicks off the 2015-2016 season with The Pirates of Penzance; or, The Slave of Dutyon October 15-16, 2015 at 8pm at New York City Center, 131 W. 55th Street, New York City. Following the success of our 2012 Mikado at Carnegie Hall, MasterVoices' semi-staged presentation of The Pirates of Penzance will feature a cast of stars from the Broadway and opera worlds, along with Orchestra of St. Luke's performing Arthur Sullivan's original orchestrations under the direction of Artistic Director Ted Sperling. Single tickets are now on sale to the general public for Second Stage Theatre's world premiere production of INVISIBLE THREAD, a new musical by Matt Gould and Griffin Matthews, in association with American Repertory Theater, directed by Tony Award winner Diane Paulus (Finding Neverland, Pippin).  INVISIBLE THREAD will begin previews on Saturday, October 31st at Second Stage's Tony Kiser Theatre (305 West 43rd street).  Opening night is scheduled for Wednesday, December 2nd.   

Yale Repertory Theatre opens its 2015-16 season with the world premiere of INDECENT, a new play with music, written by Paula Vogel, created by Paula Vogel and Rebecca Taichman, and directed by Rebecca Taichman, at the University Theatre (222 York Street), October 2-24. Opening Night is Thursday, October 8. The world premiere of INDECENT is a co-production with La Jolla Playhouse, where it will play November 13-December 10.

BroadwayWorld has confirmed that Second Stage Theatre's production of DICK SCANLAN and SHERIE RENE SCOTT'S play, WHORL INSIDE A LOOP, has been extended one week and will now play through Sunday, September 27th.  The production is co-directed by Michael Mayer and Mr. Scanlan, the creative team behind the Tony-nominated, critically acclaimed hit, Everyday Rapture, which had its world premiere at Second Stage Theatre in 2009.

BroadwayWorld has just learned that Arthur Miller's THE CRUCIBLE will return to Broadway at the Walter Kerr Theatre (219 West 48th Street) this spring. Bill Camp (as Reverend John Hale), Jim Norton (as Giles Corey), Tavi Gevinson (as Mary Warren), and Jason Butler Harner (as Reverend Samuel Parris) are among those who will join previously announced stars Ben Whishaw (as John Proctor), Sophie Okonedo (as Elizabeth Proctor), Saoirse Ronan (as Abigail Williams), and Ciaran Hinds (as Deputy-Governor Danforth).

Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts announced today that individual tickets for the Raleigh premiere of Dirty Dancing -- The Classic Story On Stage will go on sale July 20 at 10 a.m.

The Community NYC which was founded in 2014,  is producing their inaugural theatrical production, Gina Gionfriddo's award winning play BECKY SHAW. The production is directed by Elena Kritter (Producing Director for The Community NYC) who also serves as the Executive Producer. The cast of BECKY SHAW is comprised of graduates of The William Esper Studio. In addition to theatre, The Community NYC also produces short films and hosts events such as readings, cultural excursions and improv jams.

Second Stage Theatre presents the world premiere production of WHORL INSIDE A LOOP, a new play by Dick Scanlan and Sherie Rene Scott, co-directed by Michael Mayer and Mr. Scanlan. WHORL INSIDE A LOOP began performances on August 4 and officially opens tonight, August 27, 2015 at Second Stage Theatre's Tony Kiser Theatre (305 West 43rd street). Arizona Theatre Company, in a special collaboration with Stray Cat Theatre, will present Laura Eason's new comedy about the calculations people are making to find love or fame in an age of social media, brightly-lit phone screens and blogging. SEX WITH STRANGERS plays Sept. 24-Oct. 11 in Stage West at the Herberger Theater Center, 222 E. Monroe.

The co-authors were inspired by their own experiences teaching a storytelling workshop to prison inmates.

Among them, the company can claim 18 Tony Awards, 4 Pulitzer Prizes, 6 Pulitzer finalist distinctions, 3 Emmy Awards, and 2 Academy Awards; to list all their honors would take several pages.
