The show will celebrate the release of her new CD, Another Kind Of Light from LML Music, produced by Rob Abel.

So many cabaret shows, so little time . . . to write reviews that is. During his almost two years as a cabaret reviewer, BroadwayWorld.com critic Stephen Hanks managed to do a pretty good job of writing critiques during a show's run or soon after the run ended. But this summer he just couldn't keep up. Finally, here are observations on 10 performances over the past two months.

The concert version of the album premieres Tuesday August 21 at 8pm, playing five shows through August 25.

On Monday, June 25, the Broadway at Birdland concert series was presented songwriter Jack Lechner and a very talented cast of singers to the historic stage. Singing Lechner's songs and praises were Nancy Anderson, Chris Critelli, Desmond Dutcher, Jeannine Frumess, Andy Monroe, Jeremy Schonfeld, Lucas Steele, and Karen Ziemba, with musical direction by Boko Suzuki. Lechner is best known for his 2010 off-Broadway musical The Kid, co-written with composer Andy Monroe and librettist Michael Zam.

Concerts for City Greens, the free outdoor concert series that brings the sounds of music to the heart of Midtown, will add flashes of comedy as several quick-silvered wits join the musical mix on Wednesday June 20 at 6:30pm at Tudor City Greens.

Theatre legend Patti LuPone opens the new nightclub and restaurant 54 BELOW (254 West 54th Street) with a two-week engagement from tonight, June 5 through June 16. The June entertainment line-up also includes Jackie Hoffman, Mx Justin VivIan Bond and Brian d'Arcy James, as well as late-night lounge entertainment Tuesday - Thursday, a Monday night new composers series, and an informal cocktail hour on Sunday evenings.

This June, 54 BELOW, a new performance venue in the grand tradition of New York City nightlife opens its doors to the public. The venue, located just below legendary Studio 54 at 254 West 54th Street, presents an exciting lineup of Broadway brightest talent.

(Rain date: Thursday May 31 at 6:30pm.) "…in the spring, becomes The Rose," a salute to Golden Globe winner Amanda McBroom, features these special guests -- the seven-time MAC-winning singer Natalie Douglas; the MAC and Bistro Award winning singer Kevin Dozier, and the singer/songwriter and Broadway music director John DiPinto.

Artists in Partnership (AIP), a non-profit cultural arts organization, will host its 10th Annual Cabaret Festival today, May 16 through May 20 at the Long Beach Public Library, 111 West Park Avenue, Long Beach, NY. All performances are free to the public. The festival will be a celebration of the cabaret genre honoring the Great American Songbook with performances by renowned local and New York City-based artists.

The one-night-only concert featured many of the songs from the show's premiere in May of last year, plus additional material that was added to the project in the intervening months.
