LA VOZ KIDS Semifinalists Revealed

During the second night of the Final Phase of TELEMUNDO's “La Voz Kids” (The Voice Kids), the 18 finalists were once again welcomed to the stage at Universal Orlando Resort by hosts Daisy Fuentes and Jorge Bernal, and their Coaches Daddy Yankee, Natalia Jimenez and Pedro Fernandez. 12-year-old Dominican singer and second season winner Amanda Mena returned to the stage for the premiere of “Alma Gemela” (Soulmate), her first single under Universal Music Latin Entertainment, the recording contract granted as part of her winning prize. The 18 finalists also joined her on stage to perform “Uptown Funk” (Mark Ronson featuring Bruno Mars).  Following the show, the music video of Amanda's “Alma Gemela”, premiered on “Suelta la Sopa Extra.”

Masterworks Theater Company presents the first show of their season: The Glass Menagerie by Tennessee Williams. Directed by Christopher Scott, The Glass Menagerie will feature Saundra Santiago ('The Sopranos'), Richard Prioleau (HBO's 'A Normal Heart') as Tom, Olivia Washington (Lee Daniels' The Butler) as Laura, and Doug Harris (The Found Dog Ribbon Dance) as Jim. The play began on May 8 and opens tonight, May 14 running through May 30 at the 47th Street Theatre (304 West 47th Street).

2015 SOHO INTL FILM FESTIVAL Kicks Off Today

Two River Theater, under the leadership of Artistic Director John Dias and Managing Director Michael Hurst, announces the lineup of productions for its 2015/16 Season. Williamstown Theatre Festival has announced that Abe Koogler's Kill Floor is the winner of the 2014 L. Arnold Weissberger Award. The play, which will premiere at Lincoln Center Theater's LCT3 this fall, will be introduced to audiences at a reading at Williamstown Theatre Festival on Friday, August 7 at 3:00pm on the Nikos Stage. Lila Neugebauer will direct both the reading and LCT3 production.

A festival of awe-inspiring musical performances awaits as the dedicated students of Pacific Symphony Youth Ensembles (PSYE) present three season finale performances after an enriching season of musical growth. Bursting with youthful energy and stimulating music, the weekend kicks off at 3 p.m. today, May 9, with Pacific Symphony Santiago Strings (PSSS), as it invites the audience to experience "How Suite It Is," an artistic celebration of the orchestral suite and its adaptations over time. Tomorrow, May 10 at 1 p.m., Pacific Symphony Youth Wind Ensemble (PSYWE) dives into works old and new during "Collaborations," which includes Bach's Fantasia in G Major, Katoh's "Madrid Inspiration" featuring guest saxophonist Kenneth Tse, and the world premiere of "The Rising Tide" by Pacific Symphony Composer-in-Residence Narong Prangcharoen. At 7 p.m. on May 10, Pacific Symphony Youth Orchestra (PSYO) shines the spotlight on the four winners of this season's concerto competition and concludes with a musical journey through Soviet Russia by performing Shostakovich's Symphony No. 5.
