MCC THEATER today announced that Steven Boyer, previously announced to reprise his celebrated, Obie Award-winning performance in MCC's upcoming Off-Broadway premiere of Robert Askins' Hand to God, will be joined in that production by Tony Award nominee Marc Kudisch as well asGeneva Carr, Michael Oberholtzer, and Sarah Stiles. Hand to God, which first appeared in New York to great acclaim at the Ensemble Studio Theatre (EST) in 2011, will be directed once again by Moritz von Stuelpnagel and begins at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street, NYC) on February 20, 2014. An official opening night is set for March 10, 2014.

I am excited to announce that Ewan McGregor will star in our upcoming production of The Real Thing by Tom Stoppard, directed by Sam Gold, at the American Airlines Theatre. In order to accommodate Ewan's busy schedule, The Real Thinghas been moved to Fall 2014, with previews starting in early October. Will Eno's new play The Realistic Joneses will come to Broadway in Spring of 2014 starring Golden Globe and Emmy Award-winner; Academy Award and Tony Award-nominee Toni Collette (“Hostages,” “United States of Tara,” The Sixth Sense, The Wild Party), Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Award-winner Michael C. Hall (“Dexter,” Chicago), Tony Award-winner Tracy Letts (Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?; August: Osage County; “Homeland”), and Academy Award-winner and Gold Globe-nominee Marisa Tomei (My Cousin Vinny; The Wrestler; Salome). Ms. Light began her relationship with MCC in 1999 with a universally-acclaimed performance in Margaret Edson's Wit, and most recently in March 2013 was the honoree at MCC's annual Miscast gala celebrating her illustrious screen and stage career; her appearances in MCC productions, which in addition to Wit includes 2005's Colder Than Here; and her impassioned advocacy of several causes, most especially Arts in Education.
