Mary-Arrchie Theatre Co. will present the Midwest Premiere of CHERRYWOOD: THE MODERN COMPARABLE by Kirk Lynn at Angel Island, 735 W. Sheridan. It will open Thursday, June 24th, 2010 at 8 p.m. and run Thursday through Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 7 p.m. Tickets are $18 on Thursday and Sunday, $20 on Friday, and $22 on Saturday. There will be no performance on July 4th and the Sunday July 25th performance will be at 3 p.m. There will be previews on Tuesday and Wednesday June 22nd and 23rd at 8 p.m. Tickets for previews are $5. We will close on Sunday, August 8th, 2010 at 7 p.m. There is parking available in the Mobil Gas Station across from the theater at a fee determined by Mobil Gas. SiNNERMAN Ensemble presents Anton Chekhov's "Ivanov," in the first professional production of a contemporary American language adaptation by Sheldon Patinkin, who also directs, featuring eight ensemble members in a passion-filled production of this classic story that swings wildly from comedy to tragedy. In a community obsessed with gossip and greed, the brilliant Ivanov has fallen out of love with his wife and his friends and bankrupted his land, only to be dangerously attracted to the beautiful young daughter of his creditor. Chekhov's most accessible play asks the burning question "How do you live without hope?" Patinkin is Chair Emeritus of the Theater Department of Columbia College, and Artistic Consultant to The Second City and Steppenwolf Theatre. "Ivanov" runs about two hours and thirty minutes with one intermission. SiNNERMAN, formed out of a Steppenwolf Theatre summer program, is spelled with all caps except for the "i", and is named after the Nina Simone song.

SiNNERMAN Ensemble presents their third production, the world premiere of 'Bible B-Sides,' an original, multi-media show created from several lesser known Old Testament Bible stories, adapted by the ensemble and director Matt Miller. Sometimes hilarious, sometimes tragic, the company delves into the universal humanity, complex relationships and exciting discoveries of these inherently relevant and surprising stories. The Bible stories featured will include Abraham, Sarah and Hagar; Deborah; David and Bathsheba; David and Mephibosheth; Ehud and Eglon; Hosea and Gomer; Jephthah and his daughter; Lot and his daughters; and the rape of Tamar. 'Bible B-Sides' runs ninety minutes without intermission. SiNNERMAN, formed out of a Steppenwolf Theatre summer program, is spelled with all caps except for the 'i', and is named after the Nina Simone song.
