Common Joins National Symphony Orchestra for Special One Night Only Concert

Grammy®, Oscar®, and Golden Globe®-winning Chicago rapper, actor, film producer, activist, and poet Common joins the National Symphony Orchestra (NSO) and Principal Pops Conductor Steven Reineke for a one-night-only concert of music from his latest album, Black America Again, as well as some of his biggest hits. Black America Again is his most political album to date, a call to action inspired by the works of filmmaker Ava DuVernay, social critic Ta-Nehisi Coates, and the Black Lives Matter movement, among other 21st century cultural touchstones. 

Lincoln Center Announces '30 Days for $30' Lottery for Classical, Jazz and Dance Performances

Lincoln Center announced today '30 Days for $30,' a new initiative offering greater access to performances for 30 days between February 1 and March 4, 2017. Via an online lottery hosted by Jujamcyn Theaters, Lincoln Center and many of its resident organizations will make prime seats available for only $30 to a wide swath of productions across the campus.

Details of Lincoln Center's 52nd season of Great Performers were announced today by Jane Moss, Ehrenkranz Artistic Director. Since its inception, the series has captivated audiences by presenting the world's most accomplished and inspirational musicians in the concert halls and theaters across the Lincoln Center campus. The 2017/18 season features prominent and beloved artists of our time: distinguished vocalists and illustrious instrumental soloists; acclaimed period-instrument orchestras and renowned chamber ensembles; esteemed choral groups; and extraordinary conductors with their virtuosic orchestras.

T'Shan Williams, David Albury, and More Announced for UK Premiere of THE LIFE

Full casting of the hit Broadway musical, The Life, includes John Addison (Jojo), David Albury (Fleetwood), Jalisa Andrews (Chichi), Matthew Caputo (Oddjob), Lawrence Carmichael (Snickers), Omari Douglas (Slick), Aisha Jawando (Carmen), Thomas-Lee Kidd (Bobby), Charlotte Reavey (April), Jo Servi (Lacy), Lucinda Shaw (Tracy), Johnathan Tweedie (Theodore), T'Shan Williams (Queen) and Joanna Woodward (Mary). They join the previously announced musical theatre stars Sharon D. Clarke (Sonja), who was recently appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2017 Queen's New Year Honours for services to drama, and Cornell S. John (Memphis).

Lincoln Center's Pop-Up TKTS Booth Will Officially Remain For Good

Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts and Theatre Development Fund (TDF) just announced that the pop-up TKTS residency at the David Rubenstein Atrium's Zucker Box Office (located on Broadway between 62nd and 63rd Streets), that originally opened on August 2, 2016, for a limited time, has officially become TDF's fourth, and only indoor, TKTS Discount Booth in New York City. For the past six months, Lincoln Center's partnership with TDF, the nonprofit service organization for the performing arts that operates the TKTS Discount Booths, has provided New Yorkers and visitors the opportunity to purchase discount tickets and to access the wonderful range of performing arts available in New York. Response has been so positive that TKTS will stay in the David Rubenstein Atrium. In addition to same-day performance of up to 50% off for Broadway and Off Broadway shows, this TKTS Booth will also feature discounts to Lincoln Center performances.

New Casting Announced for A CLOCKWORK ORANGE at Park Theatre

Action To The Word's award-winning all-male production of Anthony Burgess' A CLOCKWORK ORANGE, directed by Alexandra Spencer-Jones, will return to London following its acclaimed premiere in Edinburgh in 2011 and an international tour. A Clockwork Orange opens at Park Theatre on 14 February and plays until 18 March, with a press night on Thursday 16 February.

The Old Testament says the Israelites celebrated their newfound freedom from the Pharaoh with a communal meal of roast lamb and herbs. Even since then, Jewish people and food have been linked symbolically and socially. "Ess my kind" is a universal anthem.
