TIME Magazine's #1 Show of the Year, MATILDA THE MUSICAL, is coming to Cleveland as part of the KeyBank Broadway Series.

Previews begin Sunday, May 1, at 7:30pm for Theatre for a New Audience's production of August Strindberg's The Father in a new version by Scottish author David Greig commissioned by Theatre for a New Audience and Tuesday, May 10, at 7:30pm for A Doll's House in an adaptation by Thornton Wilder not seen in New York since its Broadway premiere in 1937.  The plays, both directed by Arin Arbus, Associate Artistic Director of Theatre for a New Audience, feature Maggie Lacey as Nora in A Doll's House and as Laura in The Father and John Douglas Thompson as Thorwald in A Doll's House and the Captain in The Father.

Award-winning opera and theatre director Daniel Kramer will join ENO as Artistic Director from 1 August 2016.

Due to popular demand, David Mirvish has announced that the Canadian premiere production of The Royal Shakespeare Company and The Dodgers production of MATILDA THE MUSICAL has extended its run through October 16, 2016.

British director Sam Mendes (American Beauty, Road to Perdition, Skyfall, Spectre) will be the president of the International Jury of the Competition at the 73rd Venice International Film Festival

It is announced today that Damien Molony, best known for his roles in BBC's Being Human and Ripper Street, will play the role of 'Foster' in Harold Pinter's No Man's Land, completing casting for the play. Molony joins the previously announced Ian McKellen as 'Spooner', Patrick Stewart as 'Hirst' and Owen Teale as 'Briggs' in Sean Mathias' production, which will tour venues across the UK from 3 August prior to a limited engagement at London's Wyndham's Theatre from 8 September.

Going back to her start with the Royal Shakespeare Company, the career of acclaimed actress Helen Mirren has been punctuated by the works of William Shakespeare. Now, to help mark the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare's death, Mirren comes to LIVE from the NYPL to reflect on the legacy of the prolific playwright.

59E59 Theaters will host the US premiere of TOAST, written by Richard Bean and directed by Eleanor Rhode. Produced by Snapdragon Productions, in association with Jagged Fence Theatre for the 2016 Brits Off Broadway festival, TOAST begins performances today, April 20 for a limited engagement through Sunday, May 22.  Press opening is Today, April 27 at 7 PM.

Acclaimed classical actor Kathryn Hunter received the Samuel H. Scripps Award for Extraordinary Commitment to Promoting the Power of Language in Classical and Contemporary Theatre at Theatre for a New Audience's Spring Gala Celebrating Shakespeare's 452nd Birthday, last night at Capitale on the Lower East Side.

Fresh from tours of India and a run in New York, Filter Theatre's 90-minute take on the Bard's joyous comedy TWELFTH NIGHT is a feast for the eyes and ears. This riotous and energetic interpretation was originally commissioned by Michael Boyd, Artistic Director of the Royal Shakespeare Company and will run Wed 11 - Sat 14 May 2016 at HOME in Manchester.

Now in its 32nd year of Free Shakespeare in Zilker Park, Austin Shakespeare brings a professional production of a modern, military Macbeth facing unusual witches and sword fights in camouflage. Audiences are encouraged to bring blankets and picnics on any Thursday through Sunday at 8 pm for the entire month of May for the production co-sponsored by the City of Austin Parks and Recreation Department.
