According to a report by Whatsonstage.com, the upcoming West End production of Betty Blue Eyes will open at the Novello Theatre for Spring 2011. The show, which is to be produced by Cameron Mackintosh will feature Sarah Lancashire and Reece Shearsmith, with direction by Richard Eyre. Additional details concerning casting and production dates have not yet been announced.
The U.K.'s Daily Mail reports that producing maestro Cameron Mackintosh is developing a new Musical based on the film A Private Affair, renamed Betty Blue Eyes. The musical adaptation has been named in honor of the Queen of England and porker. It will be performed for her upcoming Queen's Diamond Juibilee celebration.
