The Maggie Allesee Department of Theatre and Dance presents 'A Conversation with Apple Award Recipient Tom Skerritt' at the Hilberry Theatre tonight, April 22 at 5:30 p.m. Skerritt will appear in an 'actors studio' style interview and question-and-answer session.

Richard and Sharon Jenkins to Receive Trinity Rep's 2014 Pell Award for Lifetime Achievement; Ceremony Set for 6/9

Trinity Rep announced today that former artistic director and Academy-award nominated film, stage and TV actor Richard Jenkins and his wife Director/Choreographer Sharon Jenkins will be honored with the 2014 Pell Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Arts. The theater also announced that nationally known dance educator and choreographer Mary Paula Hunter will receive the 2014 Charles Sullivan Award for Distinguished Service in the Arts. The 18th annual Pell Awards will be held on Monday, June 9, 2014 at Trinity Rep with a reception to follow next door at the Providence Public Library.

When most Kansas Citians hear the word 'scout,' they picture the large statue in Penn Valley Park. But another famous 'scout' comes to Kansas City's Jewish Community Center next month when the White Theatre presents the play To Kill A Mockingbird. Mary Badham, who played Scout in the 1962 film version, will be in Kansas City for this weekend's April 5th and 6th performances.

Williams will play performances through Sunday, May 11, 2014 at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 W 47th Street). Directed and choreographed by Warren Carlyle, After Midnight began preview performances on Friday, October 18, 2013, and opened to rave reviews on Sunday, November 3, 2013. Playwright Christopher Durang - who won his first Tony Award in 2013 for his comedy VANYA AND SONIA AND MASHA AND SPIKE on Broadway - will make his debut in the role of Vanya when the play is presented at Bucks County Playhouse (70 S. Main St) in New Hope, PA. From July 17 to August 10, it has been announced by the Playhouse's newly-appointed producing team -- Producing Director Alexander Fraser, Executive Producer Robyn Goodman and Producers Stephen Kocis and Josh Fiedler.
