Theatre Horizon will kick off their 12th season with a production of William Finn and James Lapine's heartfelt and hilarious autobiographical musical, A New Brain. This energetic musical runs October 13-November 6th at Theatre Horizon.

On Monday, August 22nd more than 25 amazing Philadelphia artists will be donating their time and talents to make a difference in support of victims of violence for a one-night-only concert event benefitting three incredible organizations who provide assistance (financial support, counseling and education) locally and nationally: The Anti-Violence Partnership of Philadelphia, the National Organization of Victim Assistance and the One Orlando Fund.

Arden Theatre Company hosts its Master Storyteller Award ceremony and concert tonight, June 1, 2015. The award will be bestowed upon Composer and Lyricist Stephen Sondheim, who will accept the award at a ticketed ceremony and concert, which is a fundraising benefit for the Arden's extensive educational and outreach programs. 11th Hour Theatre Company is heading back to the 80s this Spring with its first commission. The company is finalizing the World Premiere of Michael Ogborn's Field Hockey Hot - its first World Premiere and commission. This gender-bending field hockey musical will run tonight, March 5-22. Opening night is Monday, March 9 at 7 p.m.

In this sexy musical revue, three superb male singers perform an anthology of Bennett's best work - from 'Rags to Riches' to 'Put On a Happy Face' to the title track and many more - celebrating more than six decades of remarkable music in this swingin' walk down memory lane. David Grapes and Todd Olson are co-creators for the production; Todd Olson will also be directing The Rep's production. Original piano and vocal arrangements for I Left My Heart are by Vince di Mura. The cast features singers Eric Jon Mahlum, Andrew McMath and Rob Tucker, all making their Rep debuts, and Richard Carsey, well-known to Milwaukee audiences from his years with Skylight Music Theatre, will accompany them on piano. Carsey is also the Music Director for the production. Milwaukee Repertory Theater announced casting today for I Left My Heart: A Salute to the Music of Tony Bennett, the first production to open The Rep's 60th Anniversary 2013/14 Season, Venus in Fur, coming to the Stiemke Studio in late September, Forever Plaid, opening at the end of October in the Stackner Cabaret and Noises Off, the second production in the Quadracci Powerhouse this season.

On March 29th, 'Saturday Night Underground' with Ben Rimalower welcomed an array of New York talent, including: Tony nominee John Tartaglia (Avenue Q, Johnny and the Sprites) and Taboo's Liz McCartney (appearing through March 31st in Rosemary and Time at the Beechman). There were also performances by many audience members and, of course, 'Saturday Night Underground' stalwarts, The Dreams (Larry Hamilton, Rob Tucker and Jamaal Wilson). Mark Hartman was the accompanist for the evening.

The Laurie Beechman Theatre is pleased to announce the return of the new talk/variety evening, Saturday Night Underground. The evening will be a casual variety show, featuring interviews and performances from some of New York's most intriguing personalities. And the fun doesn't stop there, audience members are encouraged to get up on stage and sing a song or tell a joke, recommend a great restaurant or complain about a bad date. Host Ben Rimalower will mingle with the crowd, inviting people to join the show. So bring your sheet music or guitar, your funny stories and your axes to grind. From 11pm til 2am, join host Ben Rimalower (director of The Fabulous Life of a Size Zero, Joy and Leslie Kritzer is Patti LuPone at Les Mouches), the fabulous Dreams (Larry Hamilton, Rob Tucker and Jamaal Wilson) and pianist Mark Hartman (Avenue Q) for this regular event in the theatre district.
