The theatre programme for the Manchester International Festival 2013 has been announced. MIF13 commissions include: The Machine, The Old Woman, Macbeth, The Masque of Anarchy and The Rite of Spring.

Following an intense six week voting period, it has been announced that Ashley Day has won West End Frame's Understudy of the Year Award 2013 for understudying the role of Elder Price in The Book of Mormon.

The first attention-grabbing trailer and official eye-popping promotional poster graphics for Andrew Lloyd Webber's highly anticipated new musical STEPHEN WARD have been unveiled, as has a flashy new website for the forthcoming period-set West End tuner.

Richard Eyre will direct the world premiere of Stephen Ward, opening in the West End later this year. Tickets go on sale on 28 June 2013 for the production which will preview at the Aldwych Theatre from 3 December 2013 with press night on 19 December 2013 and is currently booking to 1 March 2014.

Richard Eyre returns to the Almeida Theatre to adapt and direct Ibsen's Ghosts. Brian McCardie (Jacob Engstrand) and Charlene McKenna (Regina Engstrand) join the previously announced Lesley Manville (Helene Alving), Jack Lowden (Oswald Alving) and Will Keen (Pastor Manders). Ghosts runs from 26 September - 23 November 2013, with Press Night on 3 October. Designs are by Tim Hatley with lighting by Peter Mumford and sound by John Leonard.

FLASHDANCE-THE MUSICAL, the stage adaptation of the 1983 hit film that defined a generation, will perform at the Majestic Theatre for eight performances tonight, June 18-23. Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m., Friday, March 1.

According to the New York Post, Andrew Lloyd Webber recently announced that his new STEPHEN WARD musical, based on the Profumo Affair, will begin previews at the Aldwych Theatre this October with opening night set for November 2103. The musical features lyrics by Don Black, a book by Christopher Hampton and direction by Richard Eyre- all of whom where at Lloyd Webber's estate to preview excerpts from the show at his annual Sydmonton Festival. Official casting has not yet been announced.

Seth Numrich, star of Broadway's War Horse and Golden Boy, will join Kim Cattrall in the Old Vic's production of Tennessee Williams' Sweet Bird of Youth, directed by Marianne Elliott (War Horse). The production is set to begin tonight, June 12.

Called 'a gripping and brilliant production' by The New York Times, Carmen stars El?na Garan?aas the seductive gypsy, opposite Roberto Alagna as the obsessed soldier Don José. Acclaimed rising Canadian conductor Yannick Nézet-Séguin leads the Met's production by Olivier Award-winning British director Richard Eyre, which features Barbara Frittoli as Micaëla and Teddy Tahu Rhodes as the toreador Escamillo. Christopher Wheeldon, artistic director and founder of Morphoses/The Wheeldon Company, created the choreography for what remains the Met's best-selling transmission to date. Soprano Renée Fleming hosts the transmission and conducts backstage interviews with the stars.

In October this year, two of literature's best-loved characters, the charmingly incompetent Bertie Wooster and his unflappable valet Jeeves will be brought to life in a new comedy by brothers Robert and David Goodale. Sean Foley will direct Matthew Macfadyen and Stephen Mangan as the legendary duo at the Duke of York's Theatre from 30 October 2013 with opening night on 12 November.

Its said that Lloyd Webber is also considering two other theaters in case Top Hat, which is currently running at the Aldwych, doesn't close in time for STEPHEN WARD.

According to the show's official Twitter account, Milos will again perform the theme from Andrew Lloyd Webber's latest musical Stephen Ward tomorrow, April 25, at the Royal Albert Hall for Classic FM. Milos previously premiered the song as a part of the ITV special 'Andrew Lloyd Webber: 40 Musical Years,' which aired on March 31.
