A toast to new works and Broadway favorites will mark the 2009 Summer Music Theatre Festival at the Theatre and Interpretation Center at Northwestern University.

To celebrate the end of the school year, Marriott Theatre, 10 Marriott Drive, is offering Chicagoland teachers a special 'School's Out For Summer' discount to see the Tony Award-winning musical comedy The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee on Thursday evenings from June 4 through July 16.

The Theatre and Interpretation Center and American Music Theatre Project (AMTP) at Northwestern University will present the 2009 Summer Music Theatre Festival (June 24 to Aug. 9), featuring new works and old favorites performed by both Broadway stars and Northwestern music theatre students.

The charming fairy tale classic CINDERELLA gets a contemporary new twist in Marc Robin's imaginative musical version opening July 8 and running through August 29, 2009 at Marriott Theatre, 10 Marriott Drive. Rachel Rockwell (The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Disney's High School Musical and Aladdin) will direct and choreograph the production.
