Called the 'hottest thing with a bow since Jennifer Lawrence in The Hunger Games' by the New York Daily News, Well-Strung: the Singing String Quartet will return to Provincetown's Art House theater this season. Since the group's 3-month run at the venue last summer, they've been on a roll - with two recent hit New York productions Off-Broadway and their first album released this spring. Well-Strung will debut an all-new show for the summer, running from June 30 - Sept. 1. It is directed again by Donna Drake, and will feature new arrangements of songs by Pink, Kelly Clarkson, Taylor Swift and Third Eye Blind among others as well as new material written by Jeffery Roberson (aka Varla Jean Merman). One of the most hotly anticipated new musicals from Broadway, 9 to 5, The Musical comes to the Marriott Theatre, 10 Marriott Drive in Lincolnshire, beginning August 14, opening August 21 and running through October 13. Based on the smash 1980 film, 9 to 5, The Musical is the hilarious story of friendship and revenge in the rolodex era. The musical features the blockbuster title song plus a jubilant Tony Award-nominated score by multi Grammy Award-winner Dolly Parton and a book by original screenwriter Patricia Resnick, The Marriott Theatre production will be directed by 11 time Jeff Award-winner David H. Bell with choreography by Matt Raftery.

Theater for the New City's award-winning Street Theater Company opens its 37th annual tour August 3 with 'Sanitation, or Off the Grid,' a rip-roaring musical which will tour City streets, parks and playgrounds throughout the five boroughs through September 15. The production, free to all New Yorkers, will have book, lyrics and direction by Crystal Field and musical score composed by Joseph Vernon Banks. (Schedule follows at bottom of this document.)

Producing Artistic Director Gwendolyn Whiteside and American Blues Theater, Chicago's second oldest Equity ensemble, are proud to announce the first production in American Blues Theater's "Legends and Legacies" season, Hank Williams: Lost Highway, by Randal Myler and Mark Harelik, directed by Damon Kiely, music director Malcolm Ruhl and starring Matt Brumlow as "Hank Williams," August 30 - October 6, at the Greenhouse Theater Center's Downstage Mainstage Theater, 2257 N. Monk won the Tony Award in 1993 for REDWOOD CURTAIN and was nominated for Tony Awards in 1997 and 2007 for both STEEL PIER and CURTAINS.
