NiCori Studios and Productions in association with the Oakeside Bloomfield Cultural Center announces a new installment of the monthly concert series, Music at the Mansion, on Sunday, February 22, at 3pm. Baltimore Shakespeare Factory to Present THE MERCHANT OF VENICE

Baltimore Shakespeare Factory (BSF), in conjunction with British original pronunciation (OP) experts, the father and son team of David and Ben Crystal, will open its 2015 season with a historic production of The Merchant of Venice. Ben Crystal will also visit the company twice during the rehearsal process, including the final rehearsals during the week before opening night. Presenting A Merchant of Venice in OP fits perfectly with BSF's overall philosophy of recreating the staging conditions that existed in Shakespeare's day.

The City Theatre Company will open its 2015 theatre season with William Shakespeare's most riveting drama Julius Caesar playing February 20 - March 15 at City Theatre. CTC's Jeff Hinkle, who previously directed Romeo and Juliet, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, and the acclaimed A Streetcar Named Desire, leads with a dynamic and powerful interpretation of this tragic tale of corruption, love and ambition.

A Noise Within (ANW), the acclaimed classical repertory theatre company, continues its 2014-2015 REVOLUTIONary season with two new productions: The Threepenny Opera, Bertolt Brecht and Kurt Weill's groundbreaking theatrical work in Michael Feingold's translation February 15 through May 9 (press opening February 21) and William Shakespeare's Julius Caesar March 22 to May 8 (press opening March 28). While both plays spoke to the times in which they were first produced - Weimar Germany and Elizabethan England, respectively-they also speak to this season's theme of REVOLUTION, most especially from a socio-political point of view.

Baltimore Shakespeare Factory (BSF) is excited to announce its 2015 season, opening on March 27 with the first-ever production of The Merchant of Venice spoken in Original Pronunciation (OP). BSF is honored to have the assistance of OP experts David Crystal and his son, British actor and author, Ben Crystal, who will be coming to Baltimore to work directly with the actors. There have only been approximately a dozen full length productions of Shakespeare plays in OP since Romeo and Juliet was performed in 2004 at Shakespeare's Globe in London.

This year jewelry designer, Roberto Coin, sponsored the Sherry Lansing Leadership Award which was received by Shonda Rhimes. The Sherry Lansing Leadership Award, which recognizes a woman in the entertainment industry who is a pioneer and leader in the industry, was presented to Shonda by Tony Goldwyn.
