CABARET, the musical masterpiece, returns direct from Broadway!

The Old Globe will present a one-night-only event, Barry Edelstein In Conversation with Steve Martin, tonight, August 4 at 6:00 p.m

4th Wall Theatre Company (formerly Stark Naked Theatre Company) opens its 2016-2017 season on September 9th  with Sam Shepard's Tony-nominated masterpiece, True West-a modern American classic exploring themes of sibling rivalry, art as commerce, and what it means to 'be a man.' Like a runaway train, this dark comedy about two brothers and their mutual resentment takes audiences on a thrill ride into the dark side of the human psyche, with laughs and unexpected moments of revelation along the way.  In its world premiere, the San Francisco Chronicle noted that True West is "clear, funny, naturalistic. It's also opaque, terrifying, surrealistic.  If that sounds contradictory, you're on to one aspect of Shepard's winning genius-the ability to make you think your watching one thing while at the same time he's presenting another."

The Midtown International Theater Festival (MITF) presents Insomnia with music and lyrics by Charles Bloom and book by Theo Wolf. Ovi Vargas directs a cast of seven, including Philip Skinner, Jesse Manocherian*, Anette Michelle Sanders*, Lauren Lukacek*, Chris Brick*, Tyler Milliron*, and Dennis Holland* (Bway: The Music Man, Peter Pan). Insomnia is being staged at the Main Stage, 312 West 36th Street in New York City from August 2-7, 2016.

The Old Globe presents the world premiere of Steve Martin's new play METEOR SHOWER, an adult comedy, marking his welcome return to the Globe following the great success of Bright Star. It will be directed by Gordon Edelstein in a co-production with Long Wharf Theatre, where Edelstein serves as Artistic Director (and no, he is not related to Barry).

Mr. Toole, a new play written by award-winning playwright Vivian Neuwirth made its World Premiere at The Midtown International Theatre Festival on July 21st. Set against the backdrop of New Orleans, this play is a deeply personal reflection on the life of John Kennedy Toole, author of the Pulitzer Prize Winning, 'A Confederacy of Dunces.' The Old Globe today announced that, due to popular demand, another additional week has been added to the world premiere run of Steve Martin's new play Meteor Shower, which will now play July 30 - September 18, 2016, with opening night on August 7.

The long-running Off-Broadway absurdist comedy PICASSO AT THE  LAPLIN AGILE runs from September 16 - October 23. This hilarious and thought-provoking play places two 20-somethings named Albert Einstein and Pablo Picasso in a Parisian cafe in 1904, just before the renowned scientist transformed physics with his theory of relativity and the celebrated painter set the art world afire with cubism. 

The Keegan Theatre closes out its record-breaking 19th season with Martin McDonagh's brutally funny dark comedy, The Lonesome West. Set in the tiny Irish backwater of Leenane, warring brothers Valene and Coleman live to torment each other, baiting and brawling over every petty grievance, from would-be girlfriends to cheap potato chips. Only Father Welsh, the local parish priest, will try to save them before their sibling rivalry explodes into a hilarious and brutal finish.

'Puppet Up! - Uncensored,' which is set to debut in its new home inside The Sands Showroom at The Venetian Las Vegas on July 21, has just unveiled its lineup of expert puppeteers ready to bring their irreverent and unpredictable style of comedy to the Las Vegas Strip.

The Australian Ballet is thrilled to unveil its premiere production of John Neumeier's acclaimed Nijinsky.Rarely seen outside Europe and performed by The Australian Ballet for the first time, Nijinsky takes audiences inside the mind of a ballet legend. The work runs in Melbourne from 7 - 17 September, before touring toAdelaide from 14 - 19 October, and to Sydney from 11 - 28 November.
