Tony Winner David Henry Hwang Set for 'Icarus at the Edge of Time' Discussion at Guggenheim, 4/25

Renowned physicist Brian Greene, art duo Al and Al, award-winning playwright David Henry Hwang, and Artistic Director of London's Southbank Centre Jude Kelly explore the creative process behind a brand-new performance inspired by Greene's moving futuristic reimagining of the Icarus fable. This event is scheduled for Sunday, April 25, at 3PM and 7:30PM.

The Drogheda Arts Festival has announced another exciting and varied programme for the 2010 Festival kicking off on Friday 30th April. The festival, which runs over the May bank holiday weekend, will host an exciting lineup of local, national, and international artists including the first visit to Ireland by acclaimed Russian composer Sofia Gubaidulina, a world premiere of a work by Conall Quinn from Upstate Live, music, visual art, family fun and outdoor celebration, and lots more.

An innovative violinist, composer, performer, re-mixer, and band leader, DBR has won world-wide acclaim for his eclecticism and fearless exploration, whether through extended violin techniques, the infusion of electronics, or in his perspectives on the definition of chamber music. Daniel's new album 'Woodbox Beats & Balladry' will be available March 30th on Thirsty Ear Recordings.

Hubbard Street Dance Chicago Presents Spring Series at Harris Theater, 3/18-3/21

Hubbard Street Dance Chicago (HSDC), one of the world's premiere contemporary dance companies, will present a riveting 2010 Spring Series, which will include the World Premiere of Terence Marling's At ‘em (Atem) Adam; a Hubbard Street 2 (HS2) World Premiere performance of First Light set by HSDC's resident choreographer and dancer Alejandro Cerrudo; the Company Premiere of 27'52' by world-renowned choreographer Jirí Kylián; and a revival of Susan Marshall's Kiss. The Spring Series will take place at the Harris Theater for Music and Dance, 205 E. Randolph Drive, in five performances only, March 18 - 21, 2010. The Spring Series is generously sponsored by Exelon and the Chicago Sun-Times.
