RUINED Begins Final 8 Performances Tonight at MTC, Closes 9/6

Manhattan Theatre Club's record-breaking production of Lynn Nottage's RUINED begins its final eight performances tonight at MTC at New York City Center - Stage I (131 West 55th Street). RUINED will play its final performance on Sunday, September 6 after being extended an astonishing eight times.

Seattle Opera's Ring des Nibelungen Returns 8/9 - 8/30

Seattle Opera's signature production of Wagner's Ring des Nibelungen returns to McCaw Hall in August. The four operas that comprise the Ring-Das Rheingold, Die Walküre, Siegfried, and Götterdämmerung-will be presented in three full cycles: August 9 to 14, August 17 to 22, and August 25 to 30.

Playwrights Horizons Presents THE RETRIBUTIONISTS 8/21 Through 9/27, Opens 9/15

Playwrights Horizons (Tim Sanford, Artistic Director; Leslie Marcus, Managing Director) kicks off its 2009/2010 Season with the World Premiere of THE RETRIBUTIONISTS, a new play by Daniel Goldfarb (Modern Orthodox, Adam Baum and the Jew Movie). The production will begin previews on Friday, August 21 with an Opening Night set for Tuesday, September 15 at 7PM. The limited engagement will run through Sunday, September 27 at Playwrights Horizons' Mainstage Theater (416 West 42nd Street).

Roger Bart And Shuler Hensley Set To Reprise Their Original Broadway Roles In The First National Tour Of YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN, Opens At PPAC 9/21-10/4

The Frankel Baruch Viertel Routh Group and NETworks Presentations LLC are pleased to announce that Tony Award winners and original stars of the Broadway production of The New Mel Brooks Musical Young Frankenstein, Roger Bart and Shuler Hensley will reprise the roles of Dr. Frederick Frankenstein and The Monster respectively in the eponymous national tour, opening at PPAC, September 29 - October 4, 2009.

Broadway In Chicago is excited to announce Tony Award winners Roger Bart and Shuler Hensley will reprise the roles of Dr. Frederick Frankenstein and The Monster in the first national tour of The New Mel Brooks Musical Young Frankenstein. The Chicago engagement will play the Cadillac Palace Theatre for a limited six week engagement November 3 - December 13, 2009.
