Bay Street Theatre has announced its scheduled performers for its summer Comedy Club series. Among others, David Alan Grier is set to appear on July 19.

Ars Nova (Jason Eagan, Artistic Director) proudly announces three special events, happening in conjunction with the world premiere of Bloodsong of Love: The Rock 'n' Roll Spaghetti Western, featuring book, music and lyrics by JoeIconis, and directed by John Simpkins.

Autumn Hurlbert, Lori Prince, and Michael Puzzo are set to star in Killing Women, by Marisa Wegrzyn and presented by kef productions. The production runs at the Beckett Theatre May 13- June 5 and will be directed by Adam Fitzgerald. Additional casting is yet to be announced.

In a year-long celebration of Broadway tradition, Camp Broadway will kick off its 15th season with performances by luminaries of the New York stage and launch its 2010 program initiatives. A selection of Broadway's treasured compositions, and a debut of original pieces, will be sung by Natalie Douglas (2008 MAC Award Winner, 2008 Nightlife Award Winner), Alison Fraser (THE SECRET GARDEN, GYPSY), Lisa Howard (...SPELLING BEE, SOUTH PACIFIC, 9 TO 5), Kevin Michael Murphy (YouTube's break out star, Craig Stevens), and Michael Winther (33 VARIATIONS, THE CRUCIBLE, MAMMA MIA!, 1776, DAMN YANKEES), and Camp Broadway Kids from over 30 cities around the country. The concert will take place at the Peter Norton Symphony Space on April 13 at 7:30pm.

June 4-5, Gregg Edelman, Sally Mayes, Linda Purl, and Kurt Reichenbach will be starring in Ira Without George: The Lyrics of Ira Gershwin. The event will be held at the Ford Amphitheatre and will feature musical direction by Tedd Firth.

Darius de Haas ('Marie Christine,' 'Rent') and Bailey Hanks ('Legally Blonde') have been added to the growing list of special guests for the second annual Miss Fag Hag Pageant- to be held Sunday, May 2nd at 8pm at Comix.

Angela Lansbury will receive the Stephen Sondheim Award in Washington this Monday. In a recent interview with the Washington Post, Lansbury said she had never even considered performing in musicals until being approached by Arthur Laurents and Sondheim for Gypsy.

On April 12, 2010, the Tony Award-winning Signature Theatre will honor beloved stage, screen, and television actress Angela Lansbury with the company's first Stephen Sondheim Award. (The celebration was originally scheduled to take place on April 26, 2010). The award, established last year in honor of America's most influential contemporary musical theater writer and composer, will be presented at a black-tie Gala Benefit at the Embassy of Italy. The 2010 Sondheim Award Gala is chaired by C. Daniel and Juliann Clemente; Honorary Hosts include actresses Catherine Zeta-Jones and Bernadette Peters, philanthropists Helen Henderson and Ted and Mary Jo Shen, and Congressman James Moran and LuAnn Bennett. Tom Viertel, Chairman of the Board of the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center, has announced that Stephen Sondheim will present Harold Prince with the organization's Monte Cristo Award at a gala benefit on Monday, April 5, 2010 at Bridgewaters. The Award, given annually in recognition of a distinguished career exemplifying Eugene O'Neill's pioneering spirit and standard of excellence, has previously been presented to Kevin Spacey, Neil Simon, Jason Robards, Jr., Edward Albee, August Wilson, Zoe Caldwell, Brian Dennehy, Karl Malden, Arthur and Barbara Gelb, and Wendy Wasserstein.

Roundabout Theatre Company recently announced that Everyday Rapture, starring Sherie Rene Scott, will open at the American Airlines Theatre in place of the indefinitely postponed Lips Together, Teeth Apart. The critically acclaimed musical by Dick Scanlan & Sherie Rene Scott is directed by Michael Mayer. Rehearsals begin yesterday, Monday, April 5 for the World Premiere production of PARADISE FOUND, a new musical under the combined direction of Theater legend and 21-time Tony Award winner Harold Prince (the original productions of Cabaret, Sweeney Todd, A Little Night Music, The Phantom of the Opera, Company, Follies, Evita) and 5-time Tony Award winner Susan Stroman (Crazy For You, Show Boat, The Producers, Contact). This is their first collaboration since the landmark, Tony Award-winning revival of Show Boat. Following the New York rehearsal period, the production will open at London's acclaimed Menier Chocolate Factory with performances running May 19 through June 26.
