Lyra Theater presents the U.S. Premiere of Jennifer Wise's translation of The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui in 1941 by German playwright Bertolt Brecht.

In response to popular demand, The Pearl Theatre Company extends the U.S. Premiere of Henrik Ibsen's Public Enemy, in a version by internationally acclaimed Scottish playwright David Harrower. Directed by the Pearl's Artistic Director Hal Brooks, the production will now run through November 6.

Drama Desk and OBIE-winning Transport Group will present Picnic and Come Back, Little Sheba: William Inge in Repertory, directed by Artistic Director Jack Cummings III, two plays in rotating repertory as the centerpiece of its 2016-17 season.  Performances begin Thursday, February 23 and run through Sunday, April 23 at the Gym at Judson, 243 Thompson Street.  The opening night has been set for Sunday, March 26.

Presented by The New York Musical Festival, Jorge de la Garza and German Cavazos, CHILDREN OF SALT is the first Official Selection of the New York Musical Festival from Mexico, CHILDREN OF SALT by Jaime Lozano and Lauren Epsenhart. LCT3/Lincoln Center Theater will open its 2016-2017 season with the world premiere of THE HARVEST, by Samuel D. Hunter, directed by Davis McCallum. THE HARVEST, whose cast will feature Gideon Glick, Scott Jaeck, Leah Karpel, Madeleine Martin, Peter Mark Kendall, Christopher Sears, and Zoe Winters, will begin performances Saturday, October 8th, and run for six weeks only through Sunday, November 20th at the Claire Tow Theater. Opening Night is Monday, October 24th.

Productions wraps up its season with a lively production of 'Figaro,' Charles Morey's acclaimed recent adaptation of the classic Beaumarchais farce, June 4 through 19 at the Hillcrest Center for the Arts in Thousand Oaks. J. Bailey Burcham directs this popular comic tale of love, deceit, mistaken identity, and comeuppance among the rich and their servants.

Paul Barnes, co-founder and former producing and artistic director of Minnesota's Great River Shakespeare Festival, directs a workshop production of Michael Raver's play, Fire on Babylon at The Wild Project as part of the 2016 Fresh Fruit Festival. The play features Jeffrey Hayenga (Roundabout's The Importance of Being Earnest) and playwright Raver (How We Built the Bomb) Set and Prop Design by Marc Wheeler, Costumes by Edward Ray Kiely and Lighting Design by Mike Billings.
