Coming to the Soho Playhouse this November is the award-winning 13 Dead Dreams of "Eugene," a dark and thrilling shadow play with music, based on the true story of a dead body that was on display for 35 years in a small Ohio town. The body was never identified and, for reasons that sound too strange to be true, residents began to refer to the body as "Eugene."
Darren Lee Cole, producing director of the not-for-profit, SoHo Playhouse (15 Van Dam Street) is proud to announce this year's selections for this year's Fringe Encore Series, featuring the "Best of the Fests" from around the globe. This year's selections come from Fringe Festivals at Brighton, Edinburgh, Hollywood, Limerick, Orlando, Toronto and New York (to be announced in October) and will take place between November 6 - December 16, 2018. Today, the nation's first-ever community-wide festival of laughter, Gilda's LaughFest, announced the first round of talent and shows for the festival's sixth year to be held March 10-20, 2016. Headliners include Seth Meyers, performing during Gilda's Club Grand Rapids Signature Event, Kathy Griffin, Marlon Wayans, and a diverse range of artists that are new to the festival, as well as some past returning favorites.
