Pulitzer Prize-winning Irish poet, New Yorker Poetry Editor and pop music lyricist Paul Muldoon returns for his sixth season of monthly words-and-music jamborees, joined by his house band Rogue Oliphant and a stunning lineup of world-class special guests from across the spectrum of music and literature. Even before breaking ground on their new home, IAC will welcome audiences into the existing Cybert Tire site for Rooms, a site-specific theatrical installation by the great Irish playwright Enda Walsh (May 3-28). Acclaimed orchestral collective The Knights, flexible in size and repertory, are dedicated to transforming the concert experience. Led by brothers Colin and Eric Jacobsen and evolving from late night chamber music reading parties among a group of friends, The Knights engage listeners and defy boundaries with programs that showcase the players' roots in the classical tradition and passion for musical discovery. On the heels of releasing his latest album Portraits & Tributes, award-winning composer/conductor/teacher Scott Wheeler celebrates two new major works to be performed in fall 2016: Naga, his fourth opera, set to a libretto by Cerise Jacobs, premiering September 10-17 in Boston; and Songs To Fill The Void, a three-song cycle set to poetry by Robert Barefield, premiering October 2 in New York City at Weill Recital Hall.
