The shows to be presented will include Like Water for Chocolate, A Thousand Words Come to Mind, and Kansas City Choirboy. The cast will include Broadway veterans Barbara Walsh and Jonathan Groff, as well as Betty Gilpin.

Famed performance space Joe's Pub has announced a revised upcoming line up of event in November and early December. Performers include Lauren Abrose, Coleman Domingo, Capathia Jenkins and Louis Rosen, Hair's Caissie Levy, and more. Kelly Joe Phelps who was previously scheduled to perform on 11/14, has pulled out and has been replaced PT Walkley.

Sundance White Oak Lab has announced principal casting for the production of LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE. The cast will include Broadway veterans Craig Bierko, Dick Latessa and Sherie Rene Scott. The musical is being adapted by theater vets William Finn and James Lapine. Sundance will also premiere the musical adaptation of 'Like Water for Chocolate' by Laura Esquivel.

Tony Award winning writers and composers William Finn, James Lapine and Ted Sperling, and Tony nominees Quiara Alegría Hudes and Jonathan Butterell are among the participants who will develop new musical projects at the White Oak Lab in Yulee, FL, in October.

Woodshed Collective will present the world premiere of The Confidence Man, conceived by Woodshed Collective, written by Paul Cohen (winner of the 2008 NYCFringe best playwright award), and inspired by Herman Melville's1857 novel about a riverboat con man, beginning Tuesday, September 1 and playing free to the public on the ship Lilac, a decommissioned U.S. Coast Guard vessel docked on the north side of Pier 40, at the intersection of West and Houston streets on the Hudson River.

Unbound Collective will present the World Premiere of IN SECURITY beginning previews April 17th at 3LD Art and Technology Center. Written and performed by Anna Gutto with interactive videos by Ann Oren and directed by Alexis Poledouris, this show seamlessly blends live performance with animation and film. Opening night is slated for April 22.

North American Cultural Laboratory (www.NACL.org), Brad Krumholz and Tannis Kowalchuk, Co-Artistic Directors, will present the Manhattan premiere of 'THE UNCANNY APPEARANCE OF SHERLOCK HOLMES,' based on a story written by Mr. Krumholz and created by NACL in collaboration with the ensemble. Krumholz also directs. Performances begin on December 2 at HERE Arts Center (www.here.org), 145 Sixth Avenue (between Spring and Broome Streets, enter on Dominick Street), and the show will officially open on Thursday, December 4 at 7:00 p.m. Performances will run through Sunday, December 21.

In a brief ceremony at the closing night party for the New York international Fringe Festival at The Deluxe at Spiegelworld, winners of the 2008 FringeNYC Overall Excellence Awards were announced.

'Heist', opens Wednesday, June 11th at the Sargent Theatre ( 314 West 54th Street - between Eighth & Ninth Avenues ) where it will run through Saturday, June 28th.
