Is it possible I've seen "Wicked", currently playing at the Paramount Theatre, too many times? It's not like I'm even into the double digits here having only seen it three times. But even with those three, has it lost its luster or have I become jaded. The dragon still roars, the monkeys still cavort and the green girl still flies into the rafters. So why was I not as wowed by this production as others? I'm going to have to say (at least in Act One) the energy just wasn't there. They picked it up in Act Two but in Act One there seemed to be a lot of motion going through.

On Monday, SEPTEMBER 24, the National Touring Company of WICKED hosted "THE WICKED ROCKY HORROR SHOW", a staged concert performance of Richard O'Brien's The Rocky Horror Show - Book, music & lyrics by Richard O'Brien. Held at The New Tropicana Las Vegas Historic Showroom, the event featured the company of WICKED. This production of 'Wicked' the Stephen Schwartz (music and lyrics) and Winnie Holzman (book) musical based on the Gregory Maguire novel of the same name is gorgeous to look at and boasts a cast of first-rate professionals. Eugene Lee's sumptuous sets and Susan Hilferty's costumes have come to Las Vegas with a road company of outstanding talent.

Next Thing You Know, a new musical from the Drama Desk-nominated team of Joshua Salzman and Ryan Cunningham (I Love You Because) will be released today; Yellow Sound Label will release the studio cast recording. BroadwayWorld is excited to bring you an exclusive first look at the making of a song from the album in the video below.
