Franklin Stage Company is pleased to present actor and US Army veteran Stephan Wolfert in his one-man tour de force Cry Havoc! July 7, 8, 9 at Chapel Hall. The show, written by Mr. Wolfert and directed by Eric Tucker, is a unique piece that artfully weaves some of Shakespeare's best known war speeches into a visceral and deeply personal account of war, trauma and healing.

The Franklin Stage Company, Delaware County's renowned classical summer theater, announces the departure of longtime Executive Artistic Director, Carmela Marner. Ms. Marner, whose parents, Gene and Carole Marner, were among the original founders of FSC in 1997, notified supporters of her decision in a recent letter: 'It has been my great honor to steer FSC and fulfill its dual mission to provide innovative professional theater and to restore and maintain our extraordinary home, Chapel Hall.'

Over Labor Day Weekend, the Franklin Stage Company is delighted to welcome back writer-actress Patricia Buckley with her solo play 'Evolution.' With a story that blends the lives of two sisters, their mother, and the unique evolution of whales, 'Evolution' is a deeply moving, often wildly funny tale of how human beings endure, evolve and move on. Buckley performed an earlier version of 'Evolution' to sold-out houses at FSC at the start of the 2015 season, and patrons have clamored ever since for its return.

Portland Stage's latest production of Aaron Posner's 2014 adaptation of Chaim Potok's novel, My Name Is Asher Lev, is a touching account of a young Jewish man's quest to become an artist and to reconcile his vocation with the traditions and expectations of his Orthodox family and community. Portland Stage has produced the three-character work in a stylish ninety-minute production that moves with subtlety and restraint toward Asher Lev's coming of age as an artist and a son.
