Carol Anne Riddell Hosts CUNY TV's ARTS IN THE CITY Family Edition Today

The All-Kids family edition of ARTS IN THE CITY, hosted by Carol Anne Riddell (above left) from the seasonal Victorian Gardens amusement park at Central Park's Wollman Rink, debuts today, July 11 (2014) on CUNY TV* at 10am, 3pm and 8:30pm; is repeated Sunday 7/13 at noon; and returns Friday 7/25 at 10am, 3pm and 8:30pm and on Sunday 7/27 at noon on CUNY TV. On and after July 11, the program may be viewed anytime on www.cuny.tv.

CUNY TV to Host 7-Hour Tony Awards Marathon, June 8

On Tony Awards Sunday -- June 8 -- CUNY TV will present 7-1/2 hours of glorious Broadway interviews related to this year's nominated musicals, plays, and individuals - from 12:30 p.m. right up till Tony time (8 p.m. on CBS).

A star-studded countdown to the 68th Annual Tony Awards ceremony begins on CUNY TV with the all-new special, 2014 TONY AWARDS PREVIEW, co-hosted by entertainment reporter Pat Collins and four-time Tony winner Harvey Fierstein, a nominee this year for his play Casa Valentina. Collins and Fierstein team up at Hudson Scenic Studio in Yonkers, where the set for the CBS telecast is being built, and with delightful banter introduce segments consisting of clips and interviews in all of the leading categories, including Best Play, Best Musical and Best Revivals.

Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater presents the world-premiere historical drama Camp David, penned by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Lawrence Wright and directed by Artistic Director Molly Smith. Based on true events surrounding the 1978 Camp David Accords, the play follows the 13-day meeting between President Jimmy Carter, Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin and Egyptian President Anwar Sadat as they attempted to create the impossible: peace in the Middle East. CUNY TV to Air Encores of KINKY BOOTS - THE ROAD TO BROADWAY this Weekend

Kinky Boots - The Road to Broadway, a presentation of CUNY TV's ARTS IN THE CITY, returns for five encore broadcasts over the weekend beginning Friday, Feb. 28 (2014). Hosted by New York entertainment reporter Pat Collins, the popular show will air at 9am, 2pm and 8pm, and will repeat on Saturday 3/1 at 7pm and Sunday 3/2 at 8:30am.

Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater announces the full company for the world-premiere historical drama Camp David, penned by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Lawrence Wright and directed by Artistic Director Molly Smith. Based on true events surrounding the 1978 Camp David Accords, the play follows the 13-day meeting between President Jimmy Carter, Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin and Egyptian President Anwar Sadat as they attempted to create the impossible: peace in the Middle East. The production features Tony Award nominee Hallie Foote (Broadway's Dividing the Estate) as Rosalynn Carter, Egyptian actor and activist Khaled Nabawy (Kingdom of Heaven, Fair Game) as Anwar Sadat, Tony Award winner Ron Rifkin (Alias, Broadway's Cabaret) as Menachem Begin and Emmy Award winner Richard Thomas (The Waltons) as President Jimmy Carter. Camp David runs March 21-May 4, 2014 in the Kreeger Theater.

Cork Film Centre Faces Savage Funding Cut

The Arts Council have announced a crippling funding cut (50%) for Cork Film Centre in 2014, with a total withdrawal of funding in 2015. The Arts Council is the primary funder of the Cork Film Centre, which also receives some support from Cork City Council and Cork County Council, as well as generating limited income through workshops and occasional special projects.

KINKY BOOTS - THE ROAD TO BROADWAY to Premiere 1/10 on CUNY TV

CUNY TV's ARTS IN THE CITY, hosted by New York entertainment reporter Pat Collins, goes on location to Sardi's Restaurant in Times Square to assemble key principals responsible for the success of Broadway's 'Kinky Boots.' In Kinky Boots - The Road to Broadway, premiering Friday, January 10 (2014) on CUNY TV, the cast and creators recount the musical's genesis - from a 2005 indie film to a winner of six Tony Awards, including 'Best Musical.'

Off-Broadway's PETER AND THE STARCATCHER to Air on CUNY TV This December
