The Old Globe today announced the complete cast and creative team for the Globe's 17th annual production ofDr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas! The holiday musical will run on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage in the Old Globe Theatre,part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center, November 15 - December 27. Previews run from November 15 - November 19. Opening night is November 20 at 7:00 p.m.

Springs Ensemble Theatre ('SET') continues its fifth anniversary season with EdwardAlbee's classic dark comedy, THE GOAT or WHO IS SYLVIA?, opening tonight, June 12th and running through June 29th, 2014.

Based on true events surrounding the 1978 Camp David Accords, the play follows the 13-day meeting between President Jimmy Carter, Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin and Egyptian President Anwar Sadat as they attempted to create the impossible: peace in the Middle East. Kinky Boots - The Road to Broadway, a presentation of CUNY TV's ARTS IN THE CITY, returns for five encore broadcasts over the weekend beginning Friday, Feb. 28 (2014). Hosted by New York entertainment reporter Pat Collins, the popular show will air at 9am, 2pm and 8pm, and will repeat on Saturday 3/1 at 7pm and Sunday 3/2 at 8:30am.

The production features Tony Award nominee Hallie Foote (Broadway's Dividing the Estate) as Rosalynn Carter, Egyptian actor and activist Khaled Nabawy (Kingdom of Heaven, Fair Game) as Anwar Sadat, Tony Award winner Ron Rifkin (Alias, Broadway's Cabaret) as Menachem Begin and Emmy Award winner Richard Thomas (The Waltons) as President Jimmy Carter. The Arts Council have announced a crippling funding cut (50%) for Cork Film Centre in 2014, with a total withdrawal of funding in 2015. The Arts Council is the primary funder of the Cork Film Centre, which also receives some support from Cork City Council and Cork County Council, as well as generating limited income through workshops and occasional special projects.
