Mint Theater Company today announced that its second offering of the season, So Help Me God! by Maurine Dallas Watkins (the author of Chicago, the play upon which the musical is based), directed by Mint Artistic Director Jonathan Bank, will begin as scheduled on Wednesday, November 18th, with opening night set for December 7th at the Lucille Lortel Theater (121 Christopher Street). Kristen Johnston, two-time Emmy Award winner for her performance in '3rd Rock from the Sun,' will perform the role of Lily, a fabulous dramatic diva who must fend off a challenge from her ambitious but naïve understudy, played by Anna Chlumsky (My Girl films).

The second production of City Lit Theaters thirtieth anniversary 2009-2010 season, Kenneth Grahames classic novel for all ages The Wind in the Willows, in a musical adaptation by playwright and composer Douglas Post, will begin previews at City Lit Theater on Friday, November 27, 2009 and open for the press on Tuesday, December 1. The production, directed by Post, runs through Sunday, January 3, 2010.

After garnering critical and popular acclaim with its debut at the House Theatre of Chicago, The Sparrow comes to Stoneham Theatre for its East Coast Premiere. Nathan Allen, who both conceived and directed the original Chicago production of The Sparrow, will also be directing the Stoneham Theatre production.
