The Broadway League and The Coalition of Broadway Unions and Guilds (COBUG) just welcomed Tony Award winner Bebe Neuwirth as host for the seventh annual BROADWAY SALUTES event last night, September 29, 2015. The event included special guest performances by Nikki M James, Nathaniel Hackmann, Sydney Lucas and Jake Lucas who each performed a song from three shows that opened the year the BROADWAY SALUTES honorees entered the business. In this industry-wide public celebration, theatre professionals received special recognition for having worked 25, 35 and 50+ years on Broadway for their valuable contributions to the business.

The producers of the national tour of THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, and Performing Arts Fort Worth announced today that single tickets will go on sale Monday, September 28 at 10:00 a.m. Tickets will be available at the Bass Performance Hall box office (525 Commerce St.), by visiting www.basshall.com, or by calling 817-212-4280. Back by popular demand, THE BOOK OF MORMON, which played a record breaking run in 2014, is pleased to announce a lottery ticket policy for the National Tour, which begins Tuesday, Sept. 22 at The Smith Center and plays a limited four-week engagement through Sunday, Oct. 18. The production will conduct a pre-show lottery at the box office, making a limited number tickets available at $25 apiece, including facility fee.

Back by popular demand, The Book of Mormon has broken its own house record in Denver, CO for the week ending September 13 at the Ellie grossing $1,585,945.00 for a standard 8-performance week. The Book of Mormon first broke the record the week of August 16, 2015.

Andrew Rannells began his TV career in something called TAMA OF THIRD STREET: HAVE YOU SEEN MY TAMA??, from there he voiced characters on countless Japanese-animated shows for over a decade before joining the Broadway company of HAIRSPRAY in 2005. He went on to do JERSEY BOYS on tour and on Broadway, before originating the role of Elder Price in a little show called BOOK OF MORMON. Since, he has been a constant presence on TV (THE NEW NORMAL, GIRLS, HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER), and with the release of THE INTERN later this month, he is now setting out to conquer the world of motion pictures.

Paper Mill Playhouse will welcome 122 of the of the region's most talented young performing artists from Paper Mill Playhouse's Summer Musical Theatre Conservatory in a fully produced, original concert on the Paper Mill mainstage titled New Voices of 2015: Hooray for Hollywood!
