Horse Trade Presents The Public Theater's Emerging Writers Group

HOLIDAY STUCCO will feature new one-act plays by members of The Public Theater's Emerging Writers Group including playwrights Nikole Beckwith, Chris Craigin Day, Deen, Sevan Kaloustian Green, Aaron Wigdor Levy, Mona Mansour, Don Nguyen, Jerome Parker, Stalla Fawn Ragsdale, Akin Salawu, and Pia Wilson. Every winter holiday is up for grabs in this seasonal spectacular!

THE BLUE FLOWER, Featuring Sebastian Arcelus, Marc Kudisch, Teal Wicks, et al., Opens Tonight

Second Stage Theatre (Carole Rothman, Artistic Director) has announced the complete cast for its upcoming production of the new musical THE BLUE FLOWER: Sebastian Arcelus (Buddy in Elf, Wicked, Jersey Boys), Marc Kudisch (Three-time Tony Award nominee for 9 to 5, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Thoroughly Modern Millie), Meghan McGeary (The Blue Flower at A.R.T.), Joseph Medeiros (Irving Berlin's White Christmas), Julia Osborne (National Tour of South Pacific), Graham Rowat (Guys and Dolls), Aaron Serotsky (August: Osage County), and Teal Wicks (Elphaba in Wicked).

American Repertory Theater Presents Three Pianos, Opens 12/7

American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) continues its 2011-12 season with Three Pianos by Rick Burkhardt, Alec Duffy and Dave Malloy, with music from Franz Schubert's Winterreise, Op. 89, D911 (1828), directed by Rachel Chavkin.

Say Goodnight Gracie Returns To The NY Stage, Opens 10/30

Accomplished stage/television actor and star of the recent National Tour of 'Say Goodnight Gracie,' Joel Rooks will reprise his critically acclaimed role of the lovable George Burns in 'Say Goodnight Gracie,' The Life, Laughter & Love of George Burns and Gracie Allen when the show returns to the New York stage at Off Broadway's St. Luke's Playhouse (308 West 46th Street).

INDIO Comes to Joe's Pub, 10/24 & 27

An inaugural member of The Public Theater's Emerging Writers Group, Aladdin Ullah developed this solo show, INDIO, at the Public Theater, via its New Work Now! reading series, and at New York Theater Workshop, Cape Cod Theater Project, The Lark Play Development Center, and Shakespeare in Paradise in the Bahamas.

New York Theater Workshop's THE SELECT (THE SUN ALSO RISES) Closes 10/23

New York Theatre Workshop's production of The Select (The Sun Also Rises), created by Elevator Repair Service (ERS) based on Ernest Hemingway's novel, The Sun Also Rises, and directed by John Collins, will close on Sunday, October 23 at NYTW, 79 East 4th Street, between Second Avenue and Bowery.

La Jolla Playhouse Announces HANDS ON A HARDBODY, 4/27-6/10

La Jolla Playhouse announces its first production of the 2012/13 season: the world-premiere musical HANDS ON A HARDBODY, written by Pulitzer Prize winner and La Jolla Playhouse 2011 Gala Honoree Doug Wright (I AM MY OWN WIFE), Amanda Green (BRING IT ON: THE MUSICAL) and Trey Anastasio of the popular band Phish, with direction by Neil Pepe (SPEED-THE-PLOW) and choreography by Benjamin Millepied ('Black Swan'), running April 27 - June 10, 2012 in the Mandell Weiss Theatre.
