Pipeline Theatre Company to Present Benefit Performance of BYUIOO, 10/30

Award-winning Pipeline Theatre Company in association with Judson Arts presents the World Premiere of BYUIOO, a musical with book, music and lyrics by Nate Weida. This folk gospel musical, presented in an entirely made-up language, will be directed by Andrew Neisler (Pipeline's acclaimed hit Clown Bar) featuring a cast of sixteen. Previews begin October 26 at The Gym at Judson with opening slated for October 31. The company will also present a special benefit performance on Wednesday, October 30 at 8PM to benefit Nomi Network, which provides training and economic opportunities for survivors and women at risk of human trafficking. This special benefit performance will include an introduction by the Nomi community, a talk back with the cast and creative team of Byuioo, and a wine reception.

The Old Globe today announced the cast and creative team for The Old Globe/University of San Diego Graduate Theatre Program presentation of William Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing, running Nov. 9 - Nov. 17 in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Opening night is Nov. 9 at 8:00 p.m.

City Theatre to Present CHARLES IVES TAKE ME HOME, 11/9-12/15

City Theatre continues its 2013-2014 season with Charles Ives Take Me Home, a music-filled journey by Jessica Dickey. Directed by Matt M. Morrow, Charles Ives Take Me Home runs from November 9 to December 15, 2013 in City Theatre's Hamburg Studio, with an Opening Night performance on Friday, November 15 at 8pm.

American Lyric Theater presents the first public libretto reading for the 2013-2014 season as part of its popular series, The Living Libretto, at the National Opera Center today, October 16th, 2013. Featuring guest actors from the Broadway and off-Broadway stage, each event is the culminating reading of an extensive libretto workshop conducted for new operas being written by ALT Resident Artists under the auspices of the company's Composer Librettist Development Program.

San Francisco Playhouse to Present Aaron Loeb's IDEATION, 11/14-12/7

The San Francisco Playhouse enters its fifth season of the Sandbox Series of new plays with the return of Aaron Loeb (First Person Shooter, Abraham Lincoln's Big, Gay Dance Party) and his newest play, Ideation. Josh Costello will direct Bay Area favorites Mark Phillips*, Carrie Paff* and Michael Ray Wisely* and Ben Euphrat, Jason Kapoor.

DECODING THE TABLECLOTH Set for United Solo Festival Tonight

Decoding the Tablecloth, the critically acclaimed hit of the New York International Fringe Festival, will be presented at The United Solo Festival on Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street) tonight, October 5th at 9 p.m., and Sunday, November 10th at 2 p.m. Written and performed by Gabriela Kohen, the show was co-conceived and directed by Connie Grappo. Selected as 'Outstanding Solo Show,' and named one of the top picks of the Fringe by New York Magazine, Decoding the Tablecloth played to sold-out houses during its initial run, and was extended by audience demand. It travels now to the United Solo Festival on Theatre Row.

Moliere's THE LEARNED LADIES Opens Tonight at June Havoc
