This Spring marks the start of the 36th season of the Verdi Chorus, who will present their Spring Concert, L'Amore e la Vita (Love and Life) for two performances only at the First United Methodist Church in Santa Monica on April 6 and 7. Led by Founding Artistic Director Anne Marie Ketchum, the Verdi Chorus is the only choral group in Southern California that focuses primarily on the dramatic and diverse music for opera chorus. This program, which Ketchum humorously calls the Rom-Com of opera, will feature selections from two Verdi operas I vespri siciliani and Ernani, three Donizetti operas - Don Pasquale, La fille du r giment and L'elisir d'amore, as well as operatic sequences from Bizet's Les p cheurs de perles (The Pearl Fishers), Delibes' Lakm , and Puccini's La rondine.

Opera Fusion is delighted to announce a special one night only performance of Gaetano Donizetti's comic masterpiece Don Pasquale at the Pompano Beach Cultural Center on February 16, 2019 at 7:30 pm. Opera Columbus and ProMusica Chamber Orchestra are partnering to co-produce and co-commission a new chamber opera titled The Flood - a story of loss, human tragedy and redemption set in Columbus. The work represents the first collaboration between the two arts organizations, as well as ProMusica's 67th commissioned work and Opera Columbus' first commission of a new mainstage opera in nearly 20 years.

On Monday, March 4 at 6:30pm the medieval court of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table will come to life on the stage of the Vivian Beaumont Theater when Lin-Manuel Miranda stars as King Arthur in Lerner & Loewe's CAMELOT, directed by Bartlett Sher, for a one-night-only concert event to benefit Lincoln Center Theater. He will be joined by Solea Pfeiffer as Guenevere, Jordan Donica as Sir Lancelot, Dakin Matthews as Merlyn, Ruthie Ann Miles as Nimue, Ethan Slater as Mordred, Julie White as Morgan Le Fey, and Jenn Colella, Jason Danieley, and Bonnie Milligan as three of the Knights of the Round Table. Andy & Betsy Kenny Lack, Brooke & Daniel Neidich, and Caryn Zucker are the Benefit Co-Chairs. Proceeds from the evening will support Lincoln Center Theater's productions and education programs.

Following last year's successful run of Ruth and The Dark Lady of the Sonnet, Pegasus Opera Company presents another outstanding opera double bill titled Shaw Goes Wilde. The productions are based on Oscar Wilde's The Nightingale and The Rose and George Bernard Shaw's The Music Cure. The two one act shows will be performed on Friday 12, Saturday 13 at 7.30pm and Sunday 14 April at 2.30pm at the new Susie Sainsbury Theatre, Royal Academy of Music, London, NW1 5HT.

However, nothing is quite as it appears, and the dazzling musical adventure takes many twists and turns along its way to happily ever after. Last seen in 2010, The Magic Flute opens Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 7:30pm as the second opera in the Winter 2019 Festival.

FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents LA LUNA QUARTET in "LA LUNA QUARTET IN CONCERT" on March 28, 2019 at 9:30 PM. Soprano Stacy Dove, mezzo-soprano Sishel Claverie, tenor Blake Friedman and baritone Eric McKeever will present a program of famous operatic and musical theater tunes sometimes performed as they are meant to be and sometimes "Fach'ed Up", where each artist will perform selections outside of their normal voice type or gender. La Luna will also turn opera on its ear by taking famous arias, duets and ensembles and, with the help of the audience, improvise a new story on the spot. Improv + Opera = Making music without a GPS map. Who knows where we'll end up?

Every year, Alpine Theatre Project inspires thousands of community members and students by bringing professional singers, actors, and dancers to the Flathead Valley to perform and teach. Over 350 local students find their inner confidence and creativity each year through ATP's after-school and summer theatre education programs. ATP is continuing this work for its 15th season with a full year of professional and educational programs for the community, starting with a free reading of the Olivier-Award winning drama, Death and the Maiden, on January 29 at 7pm and an exclusive mix of opera and tantalizing burlesque on Valentine's Day weekend.
