Producer Daryl Roth has announced that Obie, Helen Hayes and GLAAD award-winner Marc Wolf will perform his solo show Another American: Asking and Telling at the DR2 Theatre (103 E. 15th Street, NYC).
Outstanding young bands will play traditional jazz in Hot Jazz/Cool Garden, a free concert series at the Louis Armstrong House Museum. The popular concerts will be held in the beautiful and shady Japanese-style garden built by jazz legend Louis Armstrong and his wife Lucille. All concerts are from 1:00 to 2:30 pm.

Producer Orin Wolf and Off the Aisle Productions have announced that It Must Be Him, a new comedy by Kenny Solms, co-creator and writer of the legendary, Emmy Award-winning 'Carol Burnett Show,' will premiere this summer at the Peter J. Sharp Theatre (416 West 42nd Street). Directed by Daniel Kutner, It Must Be Him will begin performances on Tuesday, August 24, and officially open on Wednesday, September 1. The limited engagement ends Sunday, September 26.
Six local theatre companies are setting a new example for theatre in Philadelphia. The companies are joining forces to create Off-Broad Street, a consortium of theatres that will foster and celebrate independent theatre in Philadelphia.

Sheridan to celebrate the anniversary of the Woodstock Music and Art Fair of 1969. Abbie Hoffman Died For Our Sins was inspired by the need to do something to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Woodstock. Now it is the 41st Anniversary and there is an even louder outcry for celebration. This is the 22nd annual Abbie Hoffman Died For Our Sins. We have strived to recreate the spirit of Woodstock over the years by bringing some 40-50 different theater groups and performing individuals together for 3 days of non-stop theatrical entertainment and nothing but theatrical entertainment. This year we are ending our 22nd season with the festival happening on August 20, 21 & 22. Tickets for the event are $10 for a day pass (come and go all day just make sure you've got your pass), or $25 for a weekend pass (same as day pass only it applies toward the whole weekend). A free vintage Abbie Hoffman T-shirt will be given with all $25 weekend passes.

Pride Films and Plays, a new not-for-profit, is proud to announce its inaugural activities as an organization. The first two events scheduled are Five Decades of Great Gay Theater, May 9 - June 13, a series of staged reading of great gay plays, Theatre Building Chicago, 1225 West Belmont*, and the Great Gay Screenplay Contest, held in conjunction with Chicago Filmmakers. The contest seeks new screenplays dealing with gay history, characters or themes and relevant to the world. The semi-finalists will be read this fall during Reeling: The Chicago Lesbian and Gay International Film Festival.
