Jones, but he's also an accomplished singer who'll perform his show "The Great Gentlemen Of Song" on Sunday, October 27th as the closing show of the Sundays In Summer Cabaret Series presented by Les Michaels at the Arthur Newman Theater in Palm Desert. Joining Mr. Jones will be musical director Steve Rawlins and his trio. It also marks the final show of the 5th successful season, which has been invited back next year and to begin one month earlier, in April, and run through October.

The Hartt School will welcome acclaimed tenor saxophonist Javon Jackson as Associate Professor of Jazz and Chair of the Jackie McLean Institute of Jazz. Jackson, who's appointment begins in August, will serve as the educational and administrative leader for the Jackie McLean Institute of Jazz, and will teach, work with ensembles, assist in recruitment and development efforts, and represent the Institute and The Hartt School both internally and externally.
Today, country music icon George Jones was admitted to a local Nashville hospital for observation. During a routine checkup, Mr. Jones was running a slight fever with irregular blood pressure.

Thoroughly Modern Millie will run at the Millburn, New Jersey, theater from tonight, April 10 through May 5, 2013. The official press opening is Sunday, April 14, at 7:00pm.
