'ELEPHANT AND PIGGIE' Begins 9/26 at CTC

Children's Theatre of Charlotte will kick off its exciting 2015-16 season with "Elephant and Piggie's We are in a Play!," based on the popular series by award-winning author Mo Willems. The show runs Sept. 26-Oct. 11 and is recommended for ages 4 and up. Tickets start at $12.

MainStreet Theatre Company to Present California premiere of ELEPHANT & PIGGIE'S WE ARE IN A PLAY

MainStreet Theatre Company, celebrating its 10th season, is delighted to announce the California premiere of Elephant & Piggie's "We are in a Play!" Art Manke is the Director/Choreographer, with Musical Direction by the show's composer, Deborah Wicks-La Puma. The production will play eight school performances from October 5th - 9th, and open to the public on Saturday, October 10th at 4pm. The strictly limited engagement will run through Sunday, October 25th only.

Cape Rep Theatre to Present MR. BURNS, A POST-ELECTRIC PLAY

Cape Rep Theatre will present the Cape premiere of Mr. Burns, a post-electric play by Anne Washburn, score by Michael Friedman and lyrics by Ms. Washburn, September 17 through October 18, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 7 pm, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 pm, and Sundays at 2 pm; there is no performance September 20 or 23.  Tickets are $30.  Pay-What-You-Can-Night is the first Friday, September 18th. Orlando Shakespeare Theater Sets 2015-16 'All The World's A Stage' Classes

Orlando Shakespeare Theater in Partnership with UCF is proud to announce its lineup of educational youth classes available this Fall 2015, Winter 2016, and Spring 2016. Each of the Theater's All the World's a Stage classes focus on skill sets that benefit students in everyday life, as well as on stage.

To celebrate its 10th season, The award-winning MainStreet Theatre Company will be producing three unique productions that celebrate imagination, creativity and the art of performance. Each show in the 2015/2016 season will showcase this idea for a variety of age groups, and all are suitable for children and their families. The season includes two musicals (including a revised script making its Theatre for Young Audiences premiere), a California Premiere, and a collaboration with an award winning Los Angeles based Improv Company.

Co-founders John Stoops and Tim Evans proudly announce the third season of the Three Oaks Theater Festival, an annual summer event that brings limited-engagement runs of highly- acclaimed, professional productions to audiences in Harbor Country, Michigan. This season will be performed at the Acorn Theater with a staged reading to take place at the Vickers Theatre.

Public media meets the publishing world this week at one of the biggest events in the book world.  The Bookview/Detroit Public Television crew are in New York to capture and live stream BookExpo America and BookCon, starting Friday, May 29 through Sunday May 31 thanks to funding from the Wyncote Foundation. Woodruff Arts Center to Launch CREATE ATL

The Woodruff Arts Center announces the launch of CREATE ATL, Family Fun at The Woodruff Arts Center, beginning June 7. The three-year family initiative is designed to provide families greater access to the Arts Center's core art and arts education programming every Sunday, noon to 5 p.m.
