On Monday, September 9, at 8 p.m. the Young People's Chorus of New York City conducted by its Artistic Director/Founder Francisco J. Núñez will give the broadcast premiere of the four newest compositions in Radio Radiance, its ground-breaking commissioning series for young voices.

Dubbed a “cello goddess” by The New Yorker, virtuosic cellist Maya Beiser will perform at Bard College SummerScape's Spiegeltent tonight, August 9 at 8:30pm in a concert entitled The Music of Astor Piazolla and Beyond with special guest pianist Donal Fox.

According to the Daily Mail, Heather Headley travels from Chicago to London next month to begin rehearsals for The Bodyguard musical, which opens Nov. 6 at the Adelphi Theatre. She will play Rachel Marron, a role originated by Whitney Houston on the silver screen.

A recording of Just Ancient Loops will be released on Cantaloupe Music in fall 2012. The album, entitled Time Loops, also includes Harrison's Hijaz for Maya Beiser and the Young People's Chorus of New York City with Harrison on piano, plus music by Arvo Part and J.S. Bach.

WhatsOnStage.com reports that the musical version of Whitney Houston's film The Bodyguard will begin previews November 6 at West End's Adelphi Theatre. An official opening will likely occur in December. The musical will be directed by Thea Sharrock and will feature Tony Award winning actress Heather Headley as the leading lady.
