With the help of Tony and Grammy Award nominee Jeremy Jordan (Newsies on Broadway, NBC's Smash, CBS's Supergirl, and films The Last Five Years and Joyful Noise), and students from A.C.T.'s Master of Fine Arts Program and Young Conservatory, American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) raised over $500,000 at its 2016 Season Gala, SUPERGALA!, which took place on Thursday, April 14 at the historic Regency Ballroom in San Francisco.

Three theatres in one of the country's smallest states have a big idea.  Vermont's Dorset Theatre Festival, Northern Stage, and Weston Playhouse Theatre Company are creating an historic partnership to bring British playwright Alan Ayckbourn's celebrated comic trilogy, The Norman Conquests, to their stages in the spring and summer of 2016.  More than a year in the planning, the collaboration has three nationally prominent directors working with the same cast and creative team on successive productions of the three plays in White River Junction, Dorset, and Weston.

2016 marks the start of our two-year 80th-anniversary celebration and we're excited to share a summer of Broadway blockbusters, Vermont premieres, and groundbreaking partnerships with you.

Tonight, April 4 at 6:30pm, the sun-drenched piazzas of Florence will return to the Vivian Beaumont Theater stage for one night only when members of the original cast of Lincoln Center Theater's Tony Award-winning musical THE LIGHT IN THE PIAZZA, with book by Craig Lucas, music and lyrics by Adam Guettel, and direction by Bartlett Sher, gather for a 10th anniversary reunion concert which will also serve as Lincoln Center Theater's Annual Benefit.

Following the wildly successful concert version at The Geary Theater in spring 2015, American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) will present a brand-new, fully staged production of Jason Robert Brown's acclaimed musical, The Last Five Years (May 11-June 5, 2016).

Tonight, February 22nd at 7 PM, Tom Kirdahy Productions and Broadway Cares/ Equity Fights AIDS present a benefit reading of STILL AT RISK, a new play by Tim Pinckney (Message to Michael, Ever So Humble) benefiting The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center of New York City. Featuring a stellar cast from Broadway, TV and film, this one-night event will be directed by Carl Andress (The Tribute Artist, The Divine Sister).

Producing Artistic Director Steve Stettler has announced a summer line-up of Broadway blockbusters, Vermont premieres, and ground-breaking partnerships, with the appearance of major stars on Weston's stages. Today in 2008, [title of show] opened at the Lyceum Theatre, where it ran for 102 performances. [title of show] is a one-act musical, with music and lyrics by Jeff Bowen and a book by Hunter Bell. The show chronicles its own creation as an entry in the New York Musical Theatre Festival, and follows the struggles of the author and composer/lyricist and their two actress friends during the initial brief (three-week) creative period, along with subsequent events leading up to the show's production. Writer/stars Bowen and Bell, as well as director Michael Berresse all won Obie Awards for their work on the off-Broadway production, and Bell was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Book of a Musical.

The Eugene O'Neill Theatre Center just honored stage and screen star Nathan Lane with the Monte Cristo Award, which he received last night, April 13 at the Edison Ballroom. Known for roles as Max Bailystock in the musical The Producers, Oscar Madison in The Odd Couple, and, and recurring roles in Modern Familyand The Good Wife, Lane has created a wide footprint on American stage, film, and television. Other memorable and award winning roles include Albert in The Birdcage, Gomez in The Addams Family, and the voices of Snowbell in Stuart Little and Timon in The Lion King.
