Lyric Theatre Welcomes New Artistic Director Michael Baron

Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma welcomed the newest member to its staff in June. The new Artistic Director, Michael Baron, came to Oklahoma from Signature Theatre in Washington, DC- winner of the 2009 Regional Theatre TONY Award- where he recently served as the Associate Director.

During the first week in May, Signature Theatre offers two free events to the public. On Monday, May 3 from 7 to 8 pm, Michael Baron, Signature Theatre's Associate Director, will give a 'Page to Stage' talk at Arlington Public Library's Shirlington Branch. Ford's Theatre has canceled both performances of 'A Christmas Carol' for Saturday, December 19, 2009. As per a statement from the theatre, 'We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused by this change, but we felt it to be in the best interest of our patrons and staff. A decision regarding Sunday's performances will be announced tomorrow.'

Signature Theatre Announces Schedule For Its Free Target Open House 8/8
