Amber Iman to Headline ATMTC's 2019 Gala

Adventure Theatre MTC (ATMTC), recipient of 62 Helen Hayes Nominations, announces that Broadway's Amber Iman will perform at its 2019 Mad Hatter's Honest Tea Party Gala, honoring Seth Goldman, Co-Founder and TeaEO Emeritus of Honest Tea and Executive Chairman of Beyond Meats, on March 14, 2019. Guests will have the opportunity to bid on the ultimate backstage experience to see Broadway's Hamilton, the musical (of which Amber Iman was part of the national cast) and take a backstage tour. Adventure Theatre MTC's 2019 Pre-Professional Company will sing with Amber Iman at the culmination of the evening performing Stephen Schwartz's (Wicked, Godspell) Colors of the Wind.
Ailey II Takes The Stage At NYU Skirball March 13-17

The Ailey organization continues its 60th Anniversary celebration during the annual New York season of Ailey II - The Next Generation of Dance. Led by Artistic Director Troy Powell, the 12 rising stars will perform at NYU Skirball March 13-17, showcasing their talents in two programs: All New featuring works by Uri Sands, Bradley Shelver, Robert Battle and Troy Powell; and Returning Favorites featuring works by Darrell Grand Moultrie, Juel D. Lane, and Renee I. McDonald.
EgoPo Classic Theater Presents CENSORED

EgoPo Classic Theater presents CENSORED, two powerful plays, both banned by the South African government, to shine a light on two very different experiences of apartheid: Athol Fugard's "Master Harold"…and the Boys and Matsemela Manaka's Egoli, co-produced by Theatre in the X. On March 22 and 23, EgoPo will open these plays to run in rotating repertory. Master Harold previews March 21 and opens Friday, March 22. Egoli previews March 20 and opens March 23. The shows run three weeks, closing April 7. Single show tickets range $25-$35 with discounts available when both are purchased together. James Stevenson Prize For Comedic Short Plays Returns For Second Year

Playing on Air today announced the return of the James Stevenson Prize for Comedic Short Plays. Founded last year, the Stevenson Prize honors bold, original comedies that embody the spirit and wit of the late New Yorker cartoonist James Stevenson. The competition, sponsored by Stevenson's wife Josie Merck, offers one of the nation's largest prizes specifically for short plays: first prize of $7,500 and a full audio production, second prize of $2,000, and third prize of $1,000.
